@@laguerr13 Ha! You just go buy whatever up you want!!! I'm not sad about getting rid of those 2x (that were busting at the seams) but it was kinda difficult to box up all the other 50+ pieces I have that don't fit. We both know scrubs aren't cheap! I'm goodwilling it until I get to a small!!

How Do You Get Over the Guilt?
Elode replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I've never had even one ounce of guilt, none! -
Well, I drink a protein shake EVERY morning. Mainly because my stomach is so tight in the morning I can't handle food. Trust me I tried two days ago and it didn't go well. I do like to switch it up for lunch and dinner though. I have some main "snack" type foods I eat if I can fit them into my tracker for the day like the kind bar. I try not to eat processed foods to often but I was stuck on the new meat and cheese roll-ups they sale. They are easy to cut up on some shredded lettuce for lunch. So at times I get in food ruts but I usually get sick of whatever it is. I have issues with changing my complete diet up like one week I was just juicing, the next week I was back to "normal" and then I was "vegetarian" for a week and then when I feel like my stomach is being stressed I will switch back to a few days of only protein shakes and a light dinner like today to give my stomach a rest. I'm all over the place but it works.

@ That's understandable. This should be your last! Take comfort in that,

@ No, do not cry! I felt that same way when I was with my kids, I didn't want to embarrass them. My mom is super morbidly obese and one of my earliest memory's was having a parents come to school day which my mother attended ( she is an artist, painter) After she left one of the little kids said something to me about how big my mom was. We were only 5-7 years old. I never realized my mom was different, I just loved her. I remember that really caught me off guard and I went home and cried which in return made my momma cry. I think that kinda stuck with me so When I was at my heaviest I didn't go up to the school unless I absolutely had to. Most of my daughters friends had never met me. A few months ago my daughter was in a "grace notes" competition for school and I got dressed up and went to watch her. After the competition was over on the way home my daughter said "mom you want to hear something funny?" After you left my friend said "I hope this doesn't offend you but your mom looks like a Barbie doll". Ha! Can you believe it??! I just smiled and said "whatever" but on the inside I was fist pumping ! That my friend was one heck of a NSV!!! You too will have your moments, just wait!

@@The Candidate Thank you so much! It's a whole new world in the clothes department now. I'm constantly complaining that I don't have anything to wear but now it's because I keep shrinking out of everything!

@@ShrinkingPeach That's wonderful! It is an amazing feeling that you just really can't understand until you've been through it. In a way I feel like we are lucky to get to witness it. There's a lot of struggle in being overweight. It's not easy, this whole process isn't easy either but when you put it all into perspective it's pretty cool. We are given the chance to be "reborn". I definitely feel like a different person. Good luck on your journey!!

Pre vs post op diet...prepare yourself! (This is somewhat of a rant also)
Elode replied to MrsDixon's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@MrsDixon Sounds like your having a crappy time and your experience isn't the best but it's not everyone's experience. I had absolutely zero hunger for the first 7 months. I'm just now kinda starting to feel some hunger so I wouldn't. "Promise that" people will. I wasn't able to drink 64 oz either but I did fine. I never went back to the hospital. If you just had surgery in June then yea, your still way to new to be dooming your own life. You have a lot of progress yet to make and believe it or not it will Get better. Or at least I hope it does for your own sake. This surgery is the best thing I've ever done in my entire life. I will be very interested to see how you feel at 8 months post-op. I'll be keeping an eye out for you -
It's normal what you should do IMOP is stay off of that scale! It will make you crazy, you should focus on healing right now. Good luck!

Afraid of inability to consume so much water
Elode replied to Nomorepasta's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@Pastano Well get un-afraid because to be honest I don't get 64 oz of water in a day 8 months post-op and I'm still alive! It's a goal. We strive for it but you won't die if you don't make that number every single day. -
