@@Sajijoma fantastic girl! You keep that up and you'll be running in no time.

That's 3 lbs a week average which is pretty dang good! Don't worry about everyone else. We are all different. If you keep that same rate up you would lose over 156 lbs by your 1 year anniversary! See in the grand scheme of things that's a LOT. Not that you need to lose 156lbs and you probably won't even continue to lose 3 lbs a week most will stall ect..l'm just saying your doing wonderful!!!@@Deanna66

Did anyone tell children ?
Elode replied to kayjaywlj's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told my daughters 13,15 my son is only 5 so he wouldn't understand. My girls were surprisingly Supportive of it (not that they had a choice) they helped me in the hospital and when I got home, my 13 yr old exercises with me EVERY time. She's only 120 lbs so she doesn't need to I think she just does it to keep me going. Once it over they will see it's fine. They will enjoy that new mom...until you start wearing their clothes ha! -
@@KnowUrWorth I think that's a common fear, especially for men, my husband said that joking a few times or so he said he was. There's really no way to assure him if saying it isn't enough you will just have to prove it with time.

@@Oregondaisy That's so weird because I see it plain as day. It's the third picture, I'll put it here too then.

My surgeons office told me not to loose any weight

Do you wear a medical alert bracelet
Elode replied to scarletwitch19's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
That's odd because you can place a NG tube, the only time you wouldn't want to would be within the first 6 weeks of healing due to the staple line but after that it's not going to cause a problem. No sugar is off too because sugar isn't going to hurt you, not any amount that would be needed during an emergency and NSAIDs aren't preferred but in an emergency situation it wouldn't kill you either. Maybe that's for a brand new patient who's stomach haven't healed? -

Nope. -
sleeved 8/4/15 and feeling great...BUT....
Elode replied to flipper72's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@flipper72 I think most people have that problem, I found drinking straight water was much harder than drinking it with flavor, I finally switched over alternating between water and coconut water (which is a super hydrator) -
Sounds like your doing quit well! You won't feel that remorse once the pounds start falling off!

Baked veggies! I have officially mastered it! And shrimp or crab legs not sure which...

@@mommyfrog3 Oh, don't listen to me if it has anything to do with eating slow. I am horrible at it!! I have always been a fast eater, I knew it wasn't going to go over well with me. I still eat fast and it still makes my stomach feel like crap when I do (depending on what I eat) that's the one thing I struggle with.

What's your "weight loss pet peeve?"

@@kimmyco Well that's just sad. Too bad for her. -
I used my iPad Air 2 all the time, like now. I have learned to copy and save as I type just for that reason! I HATE that it does that. I can't tell you how many times I have responded with a long post and it erased it, I didn't want to retype it all so I just move on. Maybe @@Alex Brecher knows why this happens?

If you make them I would do what they say and make small ones, I just dumped the whole thing in the pan at once, makes for hard flipping....thus the not so pretty one I ended up with but oh well still taste good.

@@Oregondaisy Ha! Yes, thanks for pointing that out. I was in such a hurry to change the subject on the thread that I left a vital part out. I added it now!

@@mommyfrog3 No I didn't, I ate whatever I wanted (up until the two week pre-op diet) my situation was a bit different that I COULDN'T lose any weight during my 3 month diet program, I would have been disqualified if I had due to my BMI being below 40, I don't have any other health issues so keeping a 40 was vital for me to get approved, I actually had to gain 8 lbs. I know crazy but I did whatever it took. After going on the two week liquid diet (which I'm proud to say I never, ever cheated on!) and having the surgery itself it made changing easy for me after surgery. I didn't have a choice and on top of that I didn't have any hunger for a good 4 months and sometimes not even now. Take for instance that breakfast I ate the one piece of turkey bacon (that was one cut in half) and barely half of that pancake and I'm stuffed! I normally don't eat in the mornings I usually have a shake because my sleeve is so tight in the morning. We're all different, I think my sleeve is pretty small though. I love it!!!

Turned out delicious!! I added a bit of vanilla to it. Mine doesn't look as pretty (told you I was not a patient person!) I flipped before I should have as if that was going to speed up the process.. Anyway I added a handful of the fresh blueberries the kids and I picked a couple weeks ago. Wonderful!! If I had any Splenda brown sugar I would have added a touch of that. Next time. Update; of course that was way too much for just myself so next time I will cut the recipe in half.

@@Hisbrowneyedgirl It will be even better once you add that cheese and garlic!! And if you were going to do tuna salad you could add obay seasoning to the bread!

Elode replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@kimmyco Why? Is she mad about the type of surgery you had, maybe she's not losing as much so she's jealous? Weird. -
@@Hisbrowneyedgirl I'm going to have to try that. I could probably put my cream cheese and smoked salmon on that.

I found it you took entirely too long....what 2 mins?!! Lol! :)I have the patience of a squirrel trying to cross the road.... You will have to give me an update on them after you try one. I would have to add some garlic and cheese to that! It's not suppose to be Sweet is it?
