@@proudgrammy Good luck with all that! Once you get the hang of it, it won't be hard. -

@@liannatx I am so excited about fall fashion for the first time! There are so many cute clothes to wear. I don't look good in everything, I try to dress for my body type but I think even before I looked ok in some clothes I was made to feel not fit enough to wear. Like probably these leggings. My give a crap meter is busted!

@@MarceMonster Well thank you! All credit goes to my 14 yr old daughter. She's the picture taker!

@@proudgrammy Oh the striped Blouse saga! I'm glad you can and do wear them! Who makes these rules anyway?! My pup is happy because I was gone working for 14 hours, he probably thought I was gone forever.....like every time I leave a room. I'm sure we would look just radiant standing together! Who's gonna tell us we don't?!!

Well I use my iPad and I have to write a post, then go back in to edit it and it allows me to add a picture once I go back in and edit. It won't let me just add a picture until I go back in. I chose the image that I have on my iPad. I think you can do it with a phone too? I'm not the best with it, it took me a few months before I figured It out....now when ever your ready to send that bar I'll be waiting!! Lol! -
I guess I'm just having a fed up moment! Soooo many times I've liked something and wouldn't dare buy it because "society" says I won't look right in it, I'm too big for that, Some flesh may protruded a little more than it "should". I say the hell with it!! If I like it and I'm not breaking any "actual" laws I'm wearing it!

@@AvaFern Lol! Well maybe not the thin ones but I'm feeling pretty liberated! I have NEVER worn leggings of any kind (since being a kid) I always saw jokes about bigger people wearing certain clothes. I feel like I got ripped off because these are comfy!!! I have 6 pairs now

What's your "weight loss pet peeve?"
Elode replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm almost positive people don't say anything when you've OBVIOUSLY drop a ton of weight because they don't want to seem rude. It's awkward to have a conversation about another persons weight. I can, with close friends but I can see why people just stay quiet. I get a LOT of up and down looks so I know they notice. Some will finally get curious enough to say something. It's kinda funny. -

I have a few NSV's to share! First, I started back to school Tuesday and I did NOT wear scrubs to school! (If you read one of my last trending post you will understand that) I actually went clothes shopping and bought some real school clothes including a size 8 in jeans!! Also, for the last two days in class I didn't wear a jacket, I didn't even bring one which is astonishing even to me because I ALWAYS have something to cover up with. Jackets are something of a security blanket to cover arms, stomach, any back fat I may have had (imaginary or not). It's a wonderful feeling to not feel self-concious while in the seated position. I can focus on my instructor instead of worrying if everything's covered and not poking out. Lastly while at Walgreens one of the lady's who works there came up to me and my daughter and said " I hope this doesn't sound rude but aren't you like half the size you use to be?" I just laughted and said yes I am, thank you! Then on the way home I started thinking dang how fat was I that the lady at Walgreens took notice Still pretty sweet NSV's if you ask me! Oh and I'm finally (34 years into life) getting braces! It's amazing how much you want to improve yourself even more when you feel good about yourself!

@@FocusOnMeNow This just makes me smile! Everyone deserves to be happy with their care. I say do what makes you happy. If your not getting the care you feel you want/deserve then leave. It may sound harsh but I can assure you there will be 50 more in line to take your place. That's why healthcare is a secure job. If your good at what you do you will always have patients waiting to see you. I would rather one of my patients leave and find a new care provider than be unhappy with me. Hopefully you will find someone you will be happy with!

@@mtraverse When I get that way I drink a Atkins dark chocolate Royal ready made shake. They have a strong sweet chocolate taste, maybe you should try that. If I still feel that way at night I take some zzzzquil and sleep it off!

Being that I'm in school finishing my masters for my nurse practitioner I will try not to be bias but I will say a Nurse Practitioner is HIGHLY educated as are physicians assistants. There's a reason why your surgeon trust his patients care to them. A smart surgeon isn't going to do anything to hurt his license or practice. That's all I'm going to say about that.....but you do what makes you comfy.

What are reasons for denial
Elode replied to tssiemer's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There's lots of reasons, not losing the amount of weight they ask you to lose before surgery, gaining weight. Not passing the psych evaluation, losing too much weight and being under the BMI you need to have. Make sure you know everything they need you do Have/do before starting. Call the insurance co and ask them for every detail so there won't be any surprises. Don't be afraid to call them! -

Hello everyone! I went to my surgeons checkup appointment today and I was given paper work for a company called Nascobal They are a bariatric pharmaceutical company that ships monthly vitamins to your home you get : vitamin b-12 nasal spray prescription strength, Multivitamin, Iron+ Vitamin C, and Calcium+ D3 with Magnesium. They will bill my insurance and I pay a co-pay of 20 dollars a month. I'm just wondering if anyone else has used this service, or knows anything about these specific bariatric vitamins? I know they are all chewable. My surgeon thinks it's a great program to get the right vitamins that He feels I need to have and of course you can't beat 20 bucks a month for all of it. Thank you in advance! I hope everyone is doing well

Insurance gave Dr wrong coverage info?!
Elode replied to jenjackson's topic in Insurance & Financing
@@jenjackson Wow that's horrible! I hope they do make the exception for you, I know I would be furious had that happened to me! I'm always afraid of stuff like that, that's why I called and bugged the crap out of the insurance company to make sure EVERYTHING was correct. I found multiple issues. Heck I even went through it with my dental yesterday when the orthodontist finances lady called them for coverage they said my braces weren't covered. I was right back on the phone with them immediately and found out the person they had talked to didn't even bother to check my coverage just said it was not covered when in fact it is so I stayed on the line while they called my orthodontist and gave them the correct information. You really have to watch them, I know we shouldn't have to do all that but you just do. I will send prayers your way and hope this turns out in your favor. Document every phone call ect.....
