  1. I was just looking at a picture of my daughter (14) and I from our day out Sunday and just realized we kinda look like we could be related, which is odd because everyone always said she looked adopted. Probably because she is thin. Now that I've lost the weight she looks like my daughter apparently. Ha! Just a realization. This is just too much fun! I feel like I have a whole new life.
  2. Pain when I woke up from surgery....still not funny!

    Extramarital temptations...

Nope, hasn't happened. Good luck with that though. I'm married so there's no way in this world I would allow or tolerate a "don't ask don't tell" kind of relationship. I'd rather be alone than be in something like. You will never find one person who will completely satisfy every cell in your body. Trust and respect play a huge role in my relationship. I wouldn't trust or respect my husband if he even thought about doing something like that. I wouldn't stay with a man that thought it was ok for me to do something like that either, it shows an extremely lack of self respect for ones self to allow someone to do that to you. Self confidence is a very attractive quality to me. I defiantly wouldn't want to be with a man who thought it was ok to do that to another man either, that's not a man in my opinion and not the kind of person I would seek to have any kind of relationship with. If he'll do it with you he will do it TO YOU! My morals wouldn't allow something like that. Hey that's just me though. We all have to live our own lives, do you.
  13. @@whisper43 I wanted to wear high boots that zipped. I did! I wanted to go white water rafting in Colorado. I did! I wanted to wear a small prom dress since I never go to in high school (pregnant) and I put on a size 8 today only in the dressing room with my teen daughter but still counts! Next...well I don't have a plan for anything as of now, I'm just taking the blessings as they come.
  14. @@amazon Awe congratulations! Sounds like you have yourself some NSV's!
  15. @@bellabill Discipline is key! You know as well as I that the surgery definanly helps but it won't do all the work for us. It does take work and that's why it's aggravating when people say WLS is the easy way out. Keep at it!

  17. @@mizzmaryk I would just say to take each day as it comes, try not to stress out about things. Don't weigh yourself all the time, that was huge for me. I know it's hard but the scale can be defeating for some people, it causes anxiety and frustration. You will lose the weight if you do what your suppose to do. Everyone knows I wasn't one who exercised, I should have but I didn't do much. 98% of my weight loss came directly from what I put in my mouth on a daily basis. I am ALWAYS conscious about what I eat. Now, that being said it doesn't mean I don't treat myself at times like yesterday I had tiramisu but I only ate two bites. It takes self control and a conscious mind. You SHOULD exercise though! I'm not saying don't. I should have, that's the one part I didn't do so well on but I'm still on this journey so I will. Whatever you do DONT EVER compare your progress with anyone else's . Our bodies are all different and unique, no two people will have the same journey. Since you haven't had the surgery yet take measurements and write them down someplace now. Sometimes when the scale isn't moving your body is still losing inches and changing. It helps to measure in those moments when you don't feel like any progress is happening. Also take before pictures and make a list of 10 reasons why you want this surgery. Again when you are having a tough time (we all do at some point) take that list out and read it. Mainly just enjoy this gift you have been given. It's a rebirth and you should see it as such. I wish you a successful & life changing experience. Be blessed!
