  1. Eat clean. Fish is good. Green leafy vegetables. Stay out of the center isles whenever possible at the grocery store. Shop the outside. If you look at the layout of most grocery stores all the processed junk is on the inside isles. The outside is where you find most whole foods. Fresh meats, veggies, dairy, fruits and eggs. I try to get all my foods on the outside! Research good and "bad" carbs. There is a huge difference. For example avocado they are higher in carbs and fats but they are healthy carbs and fats. Processed foods are for the birds! Learn to substitute recipes that you like, I do that all the time. If you like potatoes make mashed cauliflower instead. If you like pizza make it with a chicken crust or cauliflower crust instead. Make kale chips or turnip fried. There are so many things you can make to mimic the foods you enjoy you just have to research what you like.
  2. You will have to do some serious calorie restriction and lots of water to flush your system. It's not the best thing to do to your body but one week shouldn't hurt you. Depending on if you hold fluids you may need an over the counter diabetic to help flush out the fluids and maybe a laxative to clean out the colon. If your going to weigh that morning don't drink or eat anything after 8 pm. You could do a veggie juice fast. It won't taste very good though because you don't want to add a bunch of fruit. You could also go mainly all lean protien with fish and some chicken with green leafy veggie. Salads with small amounts of oil vinegar and some squeezed lemon with seasoning. Watch your sodium intake, keep it at a minimum to help reduce water retention. Stay away from any added sugars or carb containing foods. Eat clean. If you get hungry snack on a cucumber or celery your body uses more calories to process them so eat all you wish. Eat high Fiber veggie. Like I said its not going to be the best tasting week of your life but if you do those things you have a good change of succeeding. Oh and sugarless green tea would help. Carful with fake sugars too they can cause some people to retain fluids.

    strange fish question

@@tink401 I've been on a fish kick for two weeks now, it's healthy if you bake it so why not?! I don't like fishy tasting fish either but I really wanted to eat salmon for its health benefits. I made it a few times and hated it! Finally I asked my seafood guy how he makes it and he said to take the skin off and there is a brown colored steak down the fish, cut that off. I did and man it was like night and day! Now I love it! No more fishy taste!!! I also love Mahi Mahi and orange roughy. They are both mild and not fishy.
  4. I do that at times to give my stomach a rest. I usually only do 3-4 days. You could try it but ultimately it's going to require eating right. I know, I don't exercise either and this last 20 lbs is going to MAKE me do it. Which I should be doing anyway!

    Daily diet

@@Babbs Yes I stay at 800 a day, sometimes it's a struggle just to make that. That's why I keep shakes around. I eat small amounts throughout the day. Remember I don't exercise. I'm busy most of the day, if I were to exercise I would eat more if I could. My labs are perfect so I'm not worried and my labs are perfect without taking any vitamins or supplement. I just eat clean and healthy a lot of fish and seafood. I think my sleeve is pretty tiny.

When did you buy new clothes?

I buy all of my clothes at our local goodwill! We have a awesome one! It's cheap and if I lose weight and they don't fit it's not a big deal 4 bucks lost.

  11. I quit smoking a year ago but had a few a couple months ago.....stress. It was NASTY, like licking an ashtray. I stopped it because I sure as hell don't want to go back down that road and neither do you!
  12. @@Tssiemer1 Good lord girl calm down! Are you doing something right now?! just reading that makes me want to peep out my window blinds in a conspicuous manner! The paranoia is Real!! I don't care if you smoke or not. In fact my brother grows marijuana for a living (Colorado) anywho tell them you ate some KIND bars. They have hemp seed in them. Military personnel aren't allowed to eat them because they will cause a positive drug test. I'm not telling you to lie I'm just saying hey did you eat any kind bars lately? Oh you did? Ok, well relate that. If you are however smoking pot then cut that sh*t out . You're going to be pretty miserable after surgery when you can't eat.

    What I miss

Nothing!!! Well, except when I TRY to eat a bunch of calories I can't. I eat so healthy that every once In awhile I try to eat a high amount of calories to shock my metabolism into working and it's really hard to do. It works when I can though. I always drop a couple pounds by doing that. I tried it yesterday and managed to eat about 10 Mexican chips with salsa and later I ate a good-ish sized piece of pond cake with strawberries, blueberries and cream. That's a lot for me! It made me feel yucky but I lost a pound. I'm back to shakes, veggies and fish today. It's defiantly not like it use to be. I could have ate a whole bag of chips and a pound cake. What I had yesterday was BIG for me.

    Something must be wrong

I drank them before surgery and I still do now 10 months later
  17. You will look back in a few months and be down 100 lbs! Stay off the scale if it's going to bring you down. Just keep doing what you're doing. It's only been 13 weeks. That's nothing!
  18. I never would have dreamed of showing anyone my weight on a scale. I absolutely dreaded weighing in at the DR's office. As if they cared right?!. Scale numbers are the thing nightmares are made of in my world. I think I was traumatized as a child when they would do "health checkups" at school, everyone would get called to the cafeteria and have to be weighed in front of the people standing behind you. Horrible experience!! Not today folks!! I am thrilled to share my scale experience! My starting weight 10 months ago was a even 267 Lbs on the day of surgery. I am now officially over 100 lbs lost (barely). This process has defiantly been a complete life changing experience. I still have a hard time accepting the numbers, it just doesn't seem real so I weight a good 5x in a row just to make sure I'm not delusional Only 5 more lbs and I will be considered "normal" I have never wanted to be more "normal" in my life From morbidly obese, obese, overweight to normal in 10 tiny months! I would do this surgery 100x again if I had to just to have these moments. I'm incredibly grateful. God is good all the time!!
  19. @@shellyd67 Oh I am but I think this last 26lbs is gonna give me troubles ;(
