  1. I haven't gone out to eat yet but you could go to subway and have the give you meat and cheese, or a salad if you can handle that. I would opt for a meat and cheese type platter though. Also if you Have to go through a drive-thru McDonald's will sale you just a grilled chicken breast and Wendy's has a good small chili. If you are dinning in Mexican restaurants have fajitas you could have that and skip the tortilla, Chinese egg drop soup would be a good choice, Ok I'm out of ideas now : )

    I want to punch things!

Well good news is if you stick with the "diet" it should start to get easier! I know the pre-op sucks I was on all liquids for 14 days BUT the diet doesn't suck as much as prison food so try not to kill any co-workers or end up on "wives with knives" lol!! Hang in there!!!

    Threw up Vitamin

Yep! Try to get something in your stomach before you take vitamins. Mine use to make me deathly ill if I took them on an empty stomach (Pre-surgery)

    Terrified of Vitamins

Wellness brand makes a liquid calcium supplement if you need liquid until you can handle more.
  16. They have calcium in liquid form if you need to use a liquid instead. Hopefully your taking your calcium separate from your multivitamin, calcium may not absorb as well if taken with zinc, iron , or magnesium.

    Single moms post op....

I'm not a single mom but I know my 13 yr old daughter was a tremendous help, if I had to I probably would have been just fine with her help. I guess it depends on The maturity of the child. If you do feel like it would be better to have an adult around I would say 2-3 days tops BUT that all depends on how your surgery goes....which will be wonderful I'm sure : )

All I do is Dream About Food!

Yes I have, our brains can be an a**! It's nice to wake up though!
  19. @@HawaiianTexan My stomach made all those crazy "demon" sounds in the beginning too...I'm a month out and it's rarely does that anymore, it never hurt though. To answer your question NO you cannot drink like a regular person unless you want to hurt or puke! You just have to go through the process like everyone else...slow and easy does it! It will get better Though. I can almost drink like a "regular" person now just give it time! : )-

    On liquids- Still hungry!

Once you start eating food with more consistency you will start to feel "full". Make sure your drinking your protein shakes, creamed soups ect..if your still hungry you can try to make some protein popsicles. Don't drink with your creamed, thicker liquids that seems too help with the full feeling. Hang in there you should get the full feeling soon.
