Sounds delicious! If I can ever pull myself away from my beloved chocolate premier protein shakes I will have to try that! -
I didn't have anyone with me throughout the day(kids at school and husband at work) and I did fine! They just set up my chair with my fluids on ice meds..ect and I was good until Everyone came home! I didn't have any complications though so I was ok.

If you have a way to measure do it. You don't want to get sick and that sick can sneak up on you! It's good that your tolerating food that early out.

Our bodies react in crazy ways...I didn't have any Bp issues but my Blood sugar sky rocketed! I've NEVER had any blood sugar issues. They had to give me insulin every 4 hours then right before I went home It dropped and I had to drink OJ. Hopefully your body will just settle down. Yuck swallow test!!! I hate that nasty barium sulfate drink!! But You gotta do it and it's nice to know you don't have any leakage! Hang in there!

I take chewable Nature's Plus multi-vitamins with minerals in pineapple flavor! Most multivitamins make me deathly ill after I take them so I was scared To death to take any but these have never made me sick! I had to order them from vita-shop on line. They aren't cheap 90 for 24.00 or 180 for 45.00 compared to say wal-mart but They are powerful!

I just wanted to tell you congrats! As far as the rest I have nothing. I wrote down A list of every question I had and took it to my appointment with me and checked them off the list as I asked. I knew if I didn't take a list I would forget something. So...if you need to make a physical list do it! -
Day 4-5 will be golden : ) it will get better hang in there!

Pre op diet challenges

You'll be ok don't take it so hard. The reason why some of us lose so much pre-op is because we are on such a strict pre-op diet. I lost 16 lbs in two weeks but I was ONLY allowed 4 Protien shakes a day plus broth, sugar free Popsicles and Sugar free jello...nothing else! I didn't get any food at all. Some people like yourself are still allowed foods so try not to judge your pre-op weigh loss on anyone else's. -

I'm surprised that most people don't even know what size they are but I wouldn't have thought to ask had I not read about it somewhere. The size is just a guide so it's not an exact measurement of your stomach and the bougie sizes are usually only Millimeters different, unless your talking as 32 and a say 60 then it's def different. -

I have a 38 and I'm pretty sure that's all my surgeon will do too...it's what they have the most success with without issues. I've been A-ok since so I guess he knows what he's doing. -

It sounds like you have a good support system and of course your moms going to worry she's your momma! Once it's over and she sees your ok she will feel better...it's natural! I wish you all the best!

I'm a little over a month out and I get 90 grams, 60 from my two shakes and the rest from protein rich foods, lean meats, cheese, eggs ect...
