Week 7 post-op...What's everyone eating?
Elode replied to JerzyTomato74's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm a little over 6 weeks and I don't have any issues with anything. I do high protein. For example yesterday; breakfast was 2 egg whites, 1/4 cup of turkey sausage, 1/2 oz cheese and 1/4 of an avocado. " snacks" we're decaf (2)spicy chai tea (with Splenda and 1/2 teaspoon heavy cream), and a premier protein drink. lunch is a premier protein shake. Dinner was half a chicken breast stuffed with 1/2 oz pepper jack cheese and wrapped in turkey bacon. Calories were 715, fat 24 grams, carbs 14.4 , 2.5 grams sugar, 1,148 sodium, and 98 Grams of protein.(3) 160z bottles of water.all together that's 86 oz of fluid. I track EVERYTHING! @@JerzyTomato74 -
Is Pre Op diet Possible?
Elode replied to Brandie Harris's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Of course it's possible! I did it for two weeks and I'm still living! I know this may sound aggravating but I didn't find it hard at all. Just make sure your not going to long without something in your tummy. I think it's mainly a lot of will power and mind control just tell yourself you are strong and you can do this! It will be over soon. Good luck! Ps and don't cheat! I think people make it harder by cheating and then it's like starting over... -
@@nprcowboy So sorry! I am so glad You are going to see someone else! There is obviously something wrong. I don't have any experience like that to share but I hope they figure this out fast and get you back in shape!

Feeding Your Family while you can't eat?
Elode replied to Malibucruzer's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@Malibucruzer Let your husband cook for himself. I told my husband that he would be responsible for himself and the kids while on my two week pre-op diet. I stayed in my room while they ate. And guess what?! They didn't starve!!! And I made it through my two weeks of liquids without incident ! -

Blood in drain tube 5 days post op
Elode replied to hamitchell's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@hamitchell Yes that's normal my drain would get anywhere from 80+ cc a day! I was always draining that dang thing! Sometimes it would clear up and come back. As long as it's not bright red or the color of anything you are drinking you should be fine. -
@@Gleasonm8602 Ricotta cheese bake is a favorite, just ricotta cheese mixed with one egg and spices of your choice with a thin layer of Marinara sauce on top. Bake 350@25-30 mins. Taste like lasagna minus the noodles! Also refried bean with sour cream, cheese, hummus or Just whatever you prefer on top. I did crab cakes minus the bread crumbs. I think there is a recipe thread floating around here Somewhere....

should I be able to fit this much in?
Elode replied to sweetie716's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@sweetie716 That's good that you are able to get your fluids in. If you can take in more without any issue, pain , ect..then that's great! Don't worry about your restriction at this point, it's just fluids and fluids pass Through the sleeve easier than food will. Keep it up! -
Gastric Sleeve Suurgery Friday Dec 19.
Elode replied to klock's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Congrats on the date! Yay for a smooth pre-op phase! I didn't mind mine much either. Good luck! -
You should stop constantly weighing yourself! That will help eliminate some of that stress! Just follow your plan and let your body do its job. Our bodies aren't on the same "weight loss schedule" that we want them to be on all the time. You are doing very good and you will get there in your own sweet time. Don't stress!

**Newbie Alert** Not happy
Elode replied to DionVSGme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@DionVSGme Your doing fine! Sometimes our surgeons need to be reminded that we aren't all made out of cookie molds, our bodies are going to do what they darn well please no matter how much we "shame"'them. As long as you are doing what your suppose to and following your surgeons rules then he/she will Just have to follow our bodies process! Don't let them make you feel bad, you just focus on that protein and water! -
