    Kids are so honest

Kids are so funny you just want to slap their little faces sometimes ; )- ha! I made my son (4 at the time) a tire swing last summer and as soon as it was ready he cheerfully informed me that I couldn't ride on it because my "butt was too bigger" I must admit I did bust up laughing and he was almost telling the truth my butt is big but it's a huge tire my butt would have fit...I think : )@@TatorTot I guess he was just stating the obvious. Try not to let it bother you to little kids we are big even when "normal" size.

    I've been denied :(

Well that stinks but hopefully they will speed the appeal along. They are pretty serious about that smoking. Good luck!

    Hello and welcome!
  6. @@kimpossible67 Yea it can be but it makes so many little servings you could probably cut the list in half. I haven't made it since my surgery but I did when I was doing low carb Atkins back in the day. It's fantastic and eventually I will make it again once I'm farther down this road. I have gone 6 weeks without any type of "sweets" at all. I want my body use to not having a desert type food.
  7. http://eat-drink-love.com/2012/01/low-carb-creme-brulee/ , a lot of people where asking about deserts that would be ok to eat. I forgot about this one and I don't know how I did because it's one of my FAVORITES so here ya go! It is insainly good! The only problem I ever have is waiting for it to chill, I always end up eating it slightly warm. Delicious warm custard! It's a win win either way! Plus I add a little extra vanilla. Enjoy!! Disclaimer: it's low carb, 0 sugar not low fat! You are using heavy cream...that's fat!
  8. You can eat then track what you actually eat or I use the "lose it "app and I go in and readjust it When I need too...which is quit often.
  9. Yay! Congratulations!

    Beginning this journey

Hello and welcome! I'm not sure what your surgeon considers a post surgery diet? I did a two week liquid diet.
  12. @ I have no clue, I've seen post that were deleted but I'm not sure how. If you just don't want what you wrote seen then go back in and "edit" It makes you type in something so put some dots. Don't let people's opinions get you upset. It's really not worth it. If you have to put the dots to get off of it so be it. The people will look like there talking to themselves (which I assume is what ended up happening anyway ; )
  13. @@dw40 Just get back In the game, watch videos (YouTube) read success stories, look at before and after pictures. You know the same things your probably did all those months ago.

    Feeling unprepared!

@@kcru0626 I don't know if Your route is "normal" but it sounds like it's what your going to get so my advice to you is to write down EVERY single question you have on a list (yes a piece of paper) and Take it with you to both your Surgeon and Nutritionist! I don't care if it's 50 questions you sit there and go over every question/ concern you have! Your surgeon is expecting to do major surgery on you and they haven't given you any office time to ask questions and be prepared so I can see why you would be nervous. It's a crappy system they have set up (if you ask me) I wouldn't let them TOUCH me without having a clear understanding of what to expect and what your suppose to be doing! I know some people can Be intimidated my DRs and if you are DONT BE! Your surgeon is being paid a hearty fee from your insurance company and just like the insurance company expects you to be cleared and ready they expect your surgeon to do his/her part also. Good luck and get to writing!!!
  20. I can't tell you for sure but it sounds like someone may have dropped the ball! BUT, I know when I was going through all this and calling my insurance company the paper work went through a few different departments before it was given to the nurse/Dr who ultimately made the decision so the dates Of when they received my information was different depending on what department I was speaking to so that may be the issue. Important thing is they have it now. I don't know about your insurance but I know (at least here) the insurance Co legally have 30 days to make a decision. Hope you gets an answer soon. I know how aggravating it can be! Good luck! @@champagne301
