    My last supper

Call off the disciples this is not your last supper! It may be your last "large supper" ! Good luck on your pre-op and surgery!!! Stay strong and follow the rules!
  2. I think she's just asking opinions about a subject she's been seeing. It's ok to wonder about things, it's ok to have a question and ask what others Think. I'm sure there are people out there that may not have actually needed the surgery but have the money and means to leave the country to Have it done out of vanity...I'm also sure there are surgeons in the world that are all about the money and could give a rats butt wether it's in the best interest of the patient or not. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I'm not sure who these people are she's actually referring to but It's a question of interest and I don't think she's asking to piss anyone off or cause a "riot".
  3. Congrats! You already got some good advice!
  4. As long as your not running a temp you should be ok.

    10 days pre op.

Find a new hobby to keep you busy, use your willpower and keep the prize in sight. Good luck!
  8. 50 pounds is not a tremendous amount of weight BUT try carrying around 50 lbs for a day....it's heavy and it's hard on your body. I don't know how they would be getting approved by insurance but if it's out of pocket then to each their own. There is a risk in any surgery, boobs, lips, liposuction , butt ect but If you want it and your willing to pay it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. A Lot of us only had 50 lbs extra and then it grew...I wish I had had it done at 50 lbs instead of 100 it would have saved me some misery.

    Protein Intake?! Help

@@PerfectlyImperfect88 You probably won't get the protein requirements in directly after surgery, most don't. You will just have to keep working at it day by day until you do. Hydration is also going to be a biggie so you will really have to make a conscious effort to focus on them both. It's normal. Good luck to you!

    Struggling

@@bunsy First of all sorry for your loss, it hard to stay focused when your going through something like that. As far as motivation I liked to see before and after pics, watch YouTube videos, Hang out on here, and write down on paper what I wanted. Those things always helped me to stay motivated, that and seeing dreaded pictures of myself.
  13. @@Gauge'sMom Where your prescribed and anti-acid? Sometimes that will help With hunger...sorry I can't help much with that because I don't have hunger anymore. Its normal to feel tired just work on that water, protein, and make sure your taking your vitamins. You should feel better soon. You will probably start feeling the full sensation once your own regular Food. Good luck!

    40f bougie anyone?

Mine is a 38 so only mm smaller. I've lost over 30 lbs now in 6 weeks and I have a lot of restriction...a lot! Bougie size is just a guide. The surgeons stapling and sewing techniques can make all the difference!
  16. @@dawnlatonya I say 6 days. My pain meds didn't work worth a hoot either so my surgeon prescribed me a stronger narcotic that worked extremely well. Ask your DR! He/she may give you something better to help. No point in being in so much pain. Good luck!

    Single in Alabama...

    Congrats! Questions?
  18. @@grace1989 I would think that should be fine especially if it will help you drink your shakes but you can always ask your DR.
  19. @@darby0375 They will have to approve you first and once your approved they can't come back and bill you. It is a chance as far as being approved or not that you will have to take if you want to find out. You can write a paper to submit with your paper work as to why your weight was lower...like dieting. That's what I did! My BMI was 32 but I also was getting married and practically starved my self to get skinny for my dress ugh! But a lot of women do and they know that. They also required that I write down every diet that I had tried in the two years, well obviously if I'm dieting I'm losing weight. That wasn't the problem the problem was I couldn't keep it off! Which is why after My wedding within a year I had put on 50+ lbs and my BMI was 40.
  20. @@ELI.p.m Cut that crap out! You know better! You have to be stronger! If you can't remove the food from your house remove yourself from the food! Only you have control of the hand to mouth routine! Willpower. Use some willpower! Find alternative foods! Come on now you can do better than this! Start over now. Track what you put in your mouth, get a hobby ect to take your mind off of it. Get on a food eating "routine". Remember the reasons why you wanted this! Write them down and carry them with you. If all else fails take a picture of yourself in a bikini (bra and undies..whatever) and look at it when you want to eat junk! Good luck!

    Protein samples?

@@Willy63 Syntrax nectar has a sample back. You will have to google it.
  22. My insurance co required 2 years BCBS fed. And I only had two documents both with a BMI of around 32! I have no co-morbids and they approved me. I was suppose to show two years at a BMI of 40. I was 40 at my first weigh-in though.
