Well, what are you eating? This surgery can be Very taxing in the beginning. It's a pretty major surgery and your body is trying to recover from the trauma it's been put through. Keep in mind you may have been prepared for the surgery for awhile but Your body was not. Are you normally depressed or just now. I'm sure your tired since your not sleeping, your hurting, Your body probably thinks it's starving, it's a lot! The big Plus is with everyday that passes your body recovers more and it gets better! I know it probably sounds like a lot of blah blah blah but it does.

@@LBS15 When I was at your stage I was just researching everything I could, I read, I watched YouTube videos, I was on here...it's hard to give you examples of issues because you haven't had the surgery so I don't know what issues you may have. If you want maybe you should look up issues related to this surgery on Google. Most of this entire process is a "only time will tell" the best thing you can do is just get as much info on the pre and post of the surgery and what it entails. Just remember the whole start to finish process varies with everyone and every thing so you can take away what you wish from the info but it may not all pertain to you. Getting off meds is a excellent goal!

For the people actively Losing weight that track food...
Elode replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@ Oh, yes the blessed starvation mode! Big fat thanks to the cave men! It's a lovely little mechanized to have if you were actually going to starve but when your Not and have plenty of access to food it just sucks!! I do the 2oz thing on most of my protein sometimes a little more (but I usually can't eat what I have) . Finnish a combination plate would be nice but unfortunately for me I get full strictly on the protein portion 99.9% of the time. It's a good theory though! Maybe once I'm a little more advanced?! -
@@LBS15 Welcome, No they do not weigh you naked. Do whatever you have to do to make that 240! Now, as far as the unwanted attention sorry to say but too bad! Guys are gonna be guys so if they gawk at you then oh well! If your married and happy then who cares! As long as they aren't trying to touch you. If they approach you, you tell them your married (the same answer no matter what weight you are, that doesn't change unless you want it to) If someone compliments you a simple thank you is sufficient . It's going to be ok! Trust me there is WAY more issues to think about when it comes to this surgery. Good luck!

@@katmaar Keep it simple, do you like refried beans? Go to the store buy a can of refried beans, some sour cream, cheese, hummus (or whatever toppings you like) heat up the refried beans in the microwave and add some cheese and whatever topping, that's soft/purée and it's good, and cheap for your college budget! Do you like lasagna? Buy some ricotta cheese (at Walmart it's usually where the sour cream is, at our store anyway) use A tub (doesn't really matter what size you get) add 1 egg , some shredded cheese of your choice, salt, pepper, (Italian seasoning if you want) Mix it all together . Add a thin layer of marinara sauce on top and bake it in the oven at 350 for appox 25-30 mins. Your basically just heating it up and cooking The egg. If you are in a dorm you can cook it in the microwave in a small dish probably 3-5 min if your making a single bowl. This is cheap and it's delicious. Blend some soup or if it's soft just mush it up with a fork. Just find soft foods that you like, take small bits and chew really well. Take your time and listen to your body. Just try stuff, if something isn't agreeing with you stop eating it. Avocado is soft and good if you like that. Eat some grits for breakfast. (You can buy instant grits in individual package to make in the microwave) If you need to thin them out a bit do it. There's so many things you can have you just have to look. enjoy being off of the liquids!
