  1. @brian45502@brian45502 You can do whatever you please BUT for some of us like myself the small amounts of food I eat now would NEVER have worked for me pre-op. I would have felt like I was starving and surly would be miserable. I can only speak for myself but the surgery works for me in two major ways 1. I feel satiated with a small amount of food 4-5 bits 2. I don't have a hunger sensor anymore so I never "feel" hungry. These two Are not "normal" for a person who has not had surgery. I could almost promise you you will not be happy on my amount of food.

  3. @@Praiseiii No clue since everyone is so different. For the last 2 days I've only lost a few strands...surly its not over already?! Not that I'd be complaining but it only happened for maybe a week....so Weird.

    Just paid$$$

@@AvaFern Is there a forum in here that has prices people pay for certain procedures? I'm not quit there yet but I'm always curious to how much things are going to cost (I know it varies but ballpark)

    @@Bonawanabfree Congrats and good luck!
  6. @@LisaLou30 Did your nut say why you can't have protein shakes? I'm 4 months out and I still drink two a day. I wouldn't make the great protein numbers without them.
  7. That's odd. I wonder if the shape is due to you having the band before? Mine is defiantly a skinny little banana and I have major restriction..your right, that's a good question for the surgeon

    Quest bars!

@@fit4life123 They are addictive little things aren't they!! They have been a staple in my diet since month 2! I order them by the boxes and my favorites are chocolate chip cookie dough and cookie n cream! I eat them in place of meals and at 2 bucks a pop I don't think that's too expensive for a meal..I have yet to have any stalls 4 months out and a lot of days I end up eating two.
  9. @@TereseG Water is a pain! Especially in the early stages. It does get better as time goes by. I was just like you and now 3 months out I can drink as much as 90oz a day. I know in the very beginning I had to drink coconut water because it was easier to get down and it's a super hydrator.

    One month post op today

    Yay! Looking fabulous!
  11. Oh and PS I learned About the machine from a sleeve Youtuber! She's was so smart! I got ours at Walmart and I think I paid 40 bucks for it. Well worth the money but DO NOT put it in the dishwasher! I found that out the hard way but they replaced it for me (melted the plunger that pushes the fruit down)
  12. Nice! And everyone should own a "desert bullet!" (I just realized I've been calling it a magic bullet! Omg!! Thats so wrong...and embarrassing! Any who, it's the BEST little machine I own! If you don't know what it is its a machine that you feed fresh semi frozen fruit into and it comes out just like ice cream!! If your fruit is too frozen it's more of sherbet. It really is amazing and it's a health alternative to most sugar filled processed deserts. Plus my kids LOVE it!

@@mysleeve Aww thanks! No I don't have any regrets. I LOVE to cook (and I'm damn good at it) sometimes after I cook A big dinner for the family I sit down to eat and can only eat maybe 5-6 bits max and I get aggravated but then I think about how much I would have ate had I not had surgery (a ridiculous amount) and the aggravation goes away and Its replaced with thankfulness. I'm thankful that I can no longer damage my body with unhealthy amounts of food.

  19. Oh BUT if I drink a bunch of water 90+ oz I feel like I can eat more...weird I know. Before surgery people would always say "oh just drink a lot of water it will keep you from being hungry" bull! Total opposite!
  20. @ Mine doesn't change throughout the day but it changes from day to day. Sometimes I eat ok and other days I'd rather just drink my shakes and eat quest bars. I don't Have any hunger though so it's easy for me to just not eat.
