Time Frame ? How long did it take you to get scheduled please ?
Elode replied to trander27's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I did a 3 month supervised diet, got approved a week after being submitted and and surgery 3 weeks after that. I had some school ends to Finnish up that took a week and then 2 week pre-op diet before surgery. -
That's awesome!

Any of the cream soups blended would be good. I did some egg drop and hot n soup from my local Chinese restaurant at that stage. @@Joey Jackson

I don't know how many you should get but I only get about 20.

If you don't already, take measurements. They will be changing even when the scale doesn't.

The Least I can Weigh on Surgery Day?
Elode replied to MoMo12onTheGo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My DR/Nutritionist took my last weight in office BEFORE submitting to the insurance co for approval. You won't Start a pre-op diet until your approved (or at least I didn't it's pointless if you don't get approved) therefor that surgery weight will have already been approved the day of surgery. I hope that makes sense.? -
Therapist says "You can do it w/o surgery"
Elode replied to MoMo12onTheGo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your psychiatrist is obviously a moron. There's a HUGE difference in eating only a few ounces before surgery than being ok with that amount of food after . DUH! @@MoMo12onTheGo -
Sometimes I think this losing weight makes people all pissy...must be hormones! People are always "flouncing". Chill!

@@Rtbrewer2 Yes, we will need to know what stage food you will be on before anyone can give you ideas.

Well now how are you going to get the rite of passage if you don't suffer a little?! Lol! If your allowed, try to break if up with some savory flavored broths. There's not a whole lot you can do but grin and bare it....

Sweet slimey flavor in my mouth!
Elode replied to Lacey Elliseal's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's probably just your body in ketosis if you really low in carbs. (Essentially it's your body breaking down fat instead of using carbs..it's a good thing) I've had it for Months now. Mine is more of a medal taste though. If it's not that are you diabetic? -
I'm taking the iron and folic acid now too so hopefully that will slow it down.

@@purrfctangel Yes it does! Especially nice thick hair! Thank you!

@@Bruce Peter Is that liquid soup or full of vegetables? Remember just because you can eat it doesn't mean you should. It doesn't sound like your eating anything "bad" your post op I'd definitely different than mine though. I was still on thickened liquids at that time and couldn't have fruit. If your surgeon says it's ok then you should be alright. Follow your plan.
