Quest Protein Chips - Anyone else tried these?
Elode replied to joatsaint's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Nope but I heard they are nasty from the sales associate at GNC -
@@wannaBthinsoon Hell I don't know what's going on! I can't keep up with it all...something about Red Robin and broccoli is all I got along with some potential flouncing ( Or perhaps it was made good on?) due to hurt feelings and some depressing red robin chicken maybe?? Throw in two therapist / and 5 mind readers.......blue is purple because Red sat on a roof?? That's all I got

@@PMJ Lol!! no this is NOT what getting sleeved does to "most" people but I think sometimes people get hungry and pissy (Think snickers commercial) and fat loss /breakdown does release hormones (fact) so the really pissy people should be happy because they are breaking down some serious fat!!!!

So we should or shouldn't eat at Red Robin?

@@VSGAnn2014 Oh wow we are so close! We should!

@@VSGmary Ha! Thank you! I will have to go online and check them out. We don't have a Costco here unfortunately. I had to make my jerky in the oven since my Walmart didn't have any dehydrators so I'm on the look out for one now. I ended up using Splenda brown sugar (a small amount) in place of the real brown sugar. It turned out really good. I thought it might save some money making it my self but my kids and husband ate about 20 dollars worth in two Days so I'm not so sure about the money saving part :/

Anyone not enjoy thier 'food funeral'
Elode replied to dhrguru's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I kinda did that but it is pointless because if you really wanted to you could probably eat those things some time after surgery just not as much. It's not worth it. -
Your probably not going to get in the recommended amount of fluid that early out. It's a work in progress you have to keep at it. You should be getting your drain out soon. I know they stink. I had one too. Mine stopped work so I pulled it. Once you get it out you will feel better. As far as the food, well you just have to deal with that because you can't eat like that, if you did you would be in some serious pain....and trouble.

Level of Help Post-Op
Elode replied to HedwigPotter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I got home from the hospital on day 3 my husband and kids all went to work/school so I was on my own for the day. I did fine. Just keep everything close. -
If anyone else makes their own jerky and has a low sugar recipe send it my way!
-
@@VSGmary it sounds like your doing good. Have you found a good beef jerky that doesn't have a lot of sugar in it? I've started to make my own now because I couldn't fine one. It's fun to experiment with so I'm enjoying it. My sleeve likes it

@@Grateful_Love thank you! Exactly, while I feel good and my labs are good I'm just going to listen to my body and not put too much importance on the calorie number. I don't want to push my stomach and be uncomfortable when I feel good.

@@jenbaby75 I don't graze but if I'm eating 6-8 times a day like he suggested it would be like grazing.

@@liannatx I agree it's all so diffrent that's why I just go with how my body feels. So far it seems to be working ok

Please Help! Throwing up blood? Just hours post op
Elode replied to vsgSarah3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok then that's older blood. It's pretty normal right after surgery. When they cut your stomach it bleeds and some of the old blood is trapped inside the stomach so when you throw up of course it comes out. You Should let them know just to be safe. Now, if you start throwing up bright red blood then you defiantly need to get help, that would be new blood and that's not good. -

Elode replied to vsgSarah3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some times right after surgery people can throw up blood that's in the stomach from the actual surgery. Is the blood bright red?or does it seem like older blood? @@vsgSarah3 -
@@bikrchk I'm going to try to fit in a few snacks. They say not to snack. It's confusing at times. I do track everything I eat. I've heard other people who didn't have hunger and it came back...who knows? I made some beef jerky last night so I've been eating on it a little. I couldn't find a good jerky that wasn't full of sugar so I made my own. It's good!
