Dr. Trotter is definately a preferred provider for Group Health. Not sure Pennington does lap band. I have a friend that had ruen-y from him and liked him. ?But I do believe Trotter is the true band expert. He is a provider, have your insurance check again. deb
  6. Great review of what is happening, you are so right the only one we have to compare ourselves to is ourself. Thanks for the continued motivation.
  7. Alynne, I see you have had a lower body lift. What is that? and did insurance pay? thanks, deb
  8. I had my lap band through Dr. Trotter in Spokane. He is wonderful. I do not know if he is contracted. He does surgery mainly at Holy Family, and the Valley in Spokane. We also have a support group on the second Tuesday of the month. would love to have more join us. deb

Have you been to Dr. Trotters orientation meeting on Wed or Fri. That is where you need to go first to get the list of what needs to be done. The orientation meeting is mandatory, the support meeting is not. However, I would highly recommend going to the support meeting also. deb

Heidi, You are starting to compete with me for questions. Here goes from memory. The meeting is the second Tuesday of the month, starats at 6 pm at Holy Family Hospital. If you have most of your stuff done or at least scheduled then call Dr. Trotter office and set up an appointment for your consultation. Have all your paperwork done and take in with you. I was banded the 19th of Dec. Have lost 30 pounds. Had my first fill. Was not to big of a deal for me and am anxious for the second fill on the 3rd of March. So I believe the next meeting is the 11th of March. This truly is a tool to help keep you full so you do not eat as much. Is for sure not a magic cure. I am so glad I did this. Is wonderful. Anxious to meet you in March. Deb

Heidi, I had the same problem and cannot elieve the difference a cpap made. now with weight loss i dont use it much anymore, but was a godsend for 2-3 years.
  13. had my first fill yesterday, 3.5 cc. I do feel the restriction this morning. I am also ready to start dropping weight again. Only 2 pounds in the last two weeks. But that is ok, I am 1/4 of the way there. deb
  14. I had my first fill yesterday. 3.5 cc. Onliquids for 3 days after fill. I am 6 weeks out from surgery. For the last week I could eat anything and was very frustrating. The reason for the lapband for me was to feel hungry sooner. I have control if i feel full but not much otherwise. Sharon I agree, at age 56, I want to look good and wear fun clothes but will never be like i was in my 20's. but that is ok. I am thrilled with how i feel and the energy I have. deb

with a BMI of 45, I don't think you have to have co-morbidity. I think you will eventually be able to get it done. You might have to first go through GH nutrition program. Am anxious to hear how it goes. deb
