Hi to all~ As a professional singer with special demands placed on my abdominal and diaphragmatic and lower back muscles, I am especially interested in possibly hearing from other singers here who have had lap band surgery and how it affected them and recovery time needed before they were able to get back to performing.   5. Hi, I'm a female in my mid-fifties, in NNJ. I'm diabetic but otherwise doing ok, preparing for banding in early January. Was told by my Dr. to get my fasting sugars in good control, so I'm working on that. I'm a classical singer and am concerned about recovery time. I'd love to hear from any singers on this site as to how long it was before you could begin performing again. Thanks so much and God Bless in your journey through this.
