    Chafing

If it turns red, it could signal a yeast infection... yes men get them... if this is the case you'll need to go to your doctor and get a fungal pill and cream to get rid of it. To help stop it, use gold bond. It is the best I've found.

    Constipated

Smooth Move is my favorite. Take it around 8pm, you will be going, going, going by morning.
  3. Ohhh this topic got popular.
  4. I'm sitting here dreaming of being able to eat normal again... of course not the portion sizes. I'm going back and forth between a few bites of pizza or a cheese burger. They both sound so yummy right now. Just wondering if anyone else had a craving and celebrated once they got past the post op and the special diet? Chick Fil-a chicken nuggets also sound so incredible. I want 6 months to hurry up and pass.
  5. I will. I'm being tortured by having to smell my family cooking delicious dinner... and I can't eat any of it LOL. Bacon bites.... small pieces of steak wrapped in bacon.... fresh home made brownies... biscuits....green Beans....mashed potatoes & gravy... and it smells sooooo good... and they are all pencil stick skinny LOL
  6. I'm exhausted all the time right now and I know its my body adjusting to what is changing. I'm walking 6 miles a day. Surgery was October 22, 2014. I take Ambien and I have trouble falling asleep, even after being so exhausted. I also find myself waking up earlier now. I wake up on average around 4am. I leave around 6am for my first walk. Then home by 7, shower and out the door to work by 7:45. In the middle of the night I wake up so dehydrated. I have a cup of Water by my bedside which I have to refill every night. Tonight I was so thirsty that I went to the store and got more gatorade. I'm drinking plenty of fluids during the day, but I'm finding after I got to sleep, I dehydrate easily. I also don't want to drink too much before I go to bed, because I hate that feeling of having to get up to pee constantly. Does anyone else have these issues post op? I'm also cold all the time. I woke up and the house is 70 degrees and i turned the heater on to 74. I used to think 70 was hot.

    Before and After Pics

Everyone looks so good. This makes me so excited. I can't wait until I have good pics like you guys to submit.
  8. For me, it came down to price when I chose Mexico. I couldn't get the surgery even as a cash pay customer in the US and the turn around time was 3 months. I called Mexico, booked and was done in less than a week. I now have this huge line of credit open with care credit and reporting. It helps my utilization and I guess I can use it at the dentist or something but still, I couldn't use it in Mexico.
  9. And let me add WOW! I took a picture of myself the day of surgery... then just took a pic. WOW! I have a chin again,
  10. 6 miles isn't that impressive, I was doing 12 before the surgery. It's not really that far. It does get boring so I try to go different routes, even make prescription drop offs, go by the post office, bank etc. I also carry a stun gun with me. Never needed it... but it makes me feel safe lol. I worked today and had no issues. I thought I wouldn't be able to handle it but it went just fine. I don't even feel like I had surgery a week ago. In my mind, if I keep pushing, I'll reach my goal sooner. If I feel like I can't do it, I'm not going to let myself get hurt i'll def. stop and take a rest.
  11. Oh yes. I'm taking the Vitamins like crazy. Prior to surgery, I had been walking up to 12 miles a day for the last six months. The doctors have said, walk, walk, walk. I don't have any re-flux or gas issues. No pain. I'm not taking any pain killers. I'm doing 2 miles in the morning, 2 miles mid day and 2 miles before it gets dark. I have a fit bit and keep track of it that way. I want to enter the 250's this week on the scale side. I just weighed and i'm at 261.3 . By Friday I want to be around 255 to 250. I know I should be checking the scale so much, but I'm tracking progress. I weighed 274 the day or surgery. I'm starting to see results in my face already. Hopefully by the end of the month I'm in the 240's.
  12. The hospital I was at was brand new. Older equipment doesn't mean the doctor can't do the job.
  13. Sorry for the subject line... I find it humorous... but its true.... def. not constipated but wondering if I should be worried. I'm doing 6 miles a day... drinking all liquids... wish I could eat soft veggies or something but I'm not... Weight is flying off but its gotta be through sweat and urine and of course building more muscle. Will it feel like normal?

    I haven't pooped in 5 days....

I guess I jumped ahead of the train on this one... let's just say... all clear. LOL
  15. aww. That's so sweet. When I was in Mexico, a man told me a story about him and his wife. they had been married for 22 years. He said he was around my size when they met. She was a hottie and in shape. He was pretty big. He said his biggest worry all these years was that his wife would leave him because of his weight... then he said he realized that their love was stronger than he imagined because she was right there with him while he was getting surgery and told him it was his choice and she loves him regardless of weather he does the surgery or not. He told me that they both even dieted together, she lost weight and he gained. She still stood by him. He said that he hopes everyone can find their true love like he did and he was pretty dang lucky.

    I haven't pooped in 5 days....

I'm not constipated. Smooth Move is my favorite tea. I was just wondering if it should be coming anytime soon lol. They told me all liquids for first week, Protein drinks second week, purred foods third week, fourth week introduce certain foods at a time. I was hoping someone had better insight. I also asked MBC and waiting to hear from them.
  17. I'm loving this website. I feel like its a no judgement zone and I can have conversations with intelligent people who aren't going to race to some unfounded conclusion.
  18. I just imagine myself eating the cheese from pizza lol

    Should I expect a stall?

Well, change starts with people. I'd write a letter to the head of your department and point out how much is being spent on these things and then includes the pros and cons of gastric sleeve surgery. I'd point out that they would stand to save more money in the long run if they would offer an incentive to help you pay for it. Even if they don't cover it all, even half the cost of surgery in Mexico is a huge step. I also erred on the side of caution and took out large signature loan just to be on the safe side. I ended up not needing it so I'll pay it back over a 6 month period to stay in the good graces of my bank. They don't like it when you take out a loan and then pay it right off. Another point I was going to make, most people have decent credit and can put the cost on a credit card or take out a loan for the surgery in Mexico.
  22. I was sleeved on October 22, 2014. I have made what I think is a very quick recovery. I came home a day early. This morning I walked six miles. I'm planning to do 6 miles a day for the first three weeks and then get it up to 10 miles a day. Right now I'm doing 2 miles in the morning, 2 mid afternoon and 2 in the evening. The scale keeps on falling. Everthing is sugar free. Should I expect a stall even with the exercise I'm doing everyday? I'm planning to return to work next week which is very labor intensive, however I'm going to let my employees actually do the heavy lifting and the hard work for once. I'm going to start slow for when I return to work and maybe work from 8am to 11am daily and then take off and try to build up from there. I own the company so its not like I can get fired. LOL. This surgery has greatly impacted me already and I've also offered to all of my employees who my company insures that since our health plan won't cover sleeving, if they go to Mexico and pay for the air fare to and from, I'll pay for the surgery should anyone on the insurance plan need it... meaning immediate family members. I've told my employees I'll cover a max of $5500.00 for sleeving. I think more employers need to offer this. It seems like a lot, but in the end, I think it will make my insurance premiums go down.
  23. May I ask, to everyone who has replied, are you exercising and if so, what are you doing?

    Should I expect a stall?

I am looking at the bottom line... in the long term, it could save more on health insurance costs. I think more corporate companies need to realize this. If I were the CEO of a huge million dollar company in the US, I definitely would not cover WLS in the US, but I'd offer an incentive for having it done in Mexico and also have an agreement worked out with certain providers...even airline carries so you get discounts etc. That's better than nothing. I say I would not cover it in the US because it is too expensive. Our health care system in the US is a wreck.
