    First week post-surgery

Loretab makes everything feel so numb.

    A bit bummed out

I agree, 52 pounds in 3 months... why the heck are you bummed? It's nice being able to eat what ever you want. Are you still hoping to lose more weight?
  3. No regrets. I read that the bypass has maintenance and that the gastric sleeve is virtually maintenance free. I'm only 2 weeks out but I feel great and have so much energy.
  4. If I could go back, I'd go ahead and go back at least 10 years ago and say don't delay, do it now. You'll thank me later.

    Testosterone

    *lose not love

    Testosterone

hmm. I'll look into that. The sad thing for me is I'll love my insurance at the end of the year. I've been paying $171.00 a month with a $1000.00 deductible. I got a notice last month telling me that BCBS will no longer offer this plan. A new plan is around $463.00 a month. I hate the thought of going to a higher deductible. I might just forgo insurance altogether and pay the small penalty.
  7. Amazing. Congratulations and keep it up until you reach your goal. Do you feel better and have more energy yet?

My sleeve is such a meanie!

I've found I can't eat Bacon anymore and I can't eat frosted flakes with whole milk. Bacon causes heart burn and frosted flakes with whole milk made me sick beyond belief. Hopefully it'll pass.
  9. Everyone is different. I'm 2 weeks post op and I'm taking no medication at all and my incisions have healed. You can barely see them now.

    First day back to work!

6 weeks off? Your so lucky!

    What are you excited for?

I'm excited to be attractive again. Have normal blood pressure. No Diabetes. No sleep Apnea. Losing 74 lbs.

    What size is your sleeve?

I was told it is a size 32.
  13. I'm having no problem eating anything... except for bacon. Bacon causes heart burn. I'm still drinking the Protein shakes daily but I have found that I can eat almost anything. I've taken my surgery very seriously. Everyone responds differently. Frankly I don't see why people stick to such a strict regimen if the stomach can handle normal foods. I just got in from finishing a total of 12.9 miles today. One thing that might be very different for me is I was only 54 pounds over weight. I've healed very, very quickly. I'm also very active. I was active before the surgery and active after the surgery. 12.9 miles is a lot to do in one day, but I'm back up there again. The weight is still flying off.
  14. I was sleeved on October 22nd. I flew out of Tulsa on Tuesday the 21st, surgery on the 22nd, flew home on Friday the 24th and I went back to work on the 27th. Everyone is different. You'll find yourself going to sleep a little bit earlier. It's 9:38 right now and I'm ready to pass out.
  15. It takes forever. I'm 2 weeks out as of tomorrow and I still have the tape stuff on me. grr
  16. I've heard that ability will make you gain weight. I took it prior to getting sleeved and I estimate I gained 25 lbs. I don't take any medication now and I'm not having mood swings or depression at all.
  17. Counseling helps so much. Instead of being mad at each other, it is a safe place to get everything out. It's not too expensive. We pay $75.00 an hour. It's about $400 a week we're spending right now but I think it is worth it.
  18. I started early and so far no issues. I even had ***GASP**** pizza tonight. i'm still losing like crazy. I could only take a couple bites... but it was so worth it. I'm drinking the Protein shakes like crazy. I loved the taste of what I had. It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it
  19. I have finally reached 249 lbs. I haven't seen this number since I was 18. It feels great so far. I want to get into the 230's and then I'll be really happy. Only thing I am seeing is I'm getting really tired towards the end of the day and I find myself going to bed around 8 to 9pm and waking up around 4 to 5am. This would be fine except its getting cold and I hate walking when its cold... so I'm trying to stay active and warm lol
  20. I'm so doing the toilet thing tomorrow

    Sex...

We're talking about surgery, poop, getting our stomachs cut out... come on is this really a TMI area.

    Already a failure

It sounds like you hit a stall. I don't think you have failed. I've been cheating too but I'm still losing weight. It is slowing down a little bit for me so I'm trying to stick to the diet plan. Your weight loss may slow down but you will still lose weight. I'd suggest you stop weighing often and only weigh every other week. When you get a craving for food, try other things like drinking Water or taking a walk. Do anything you can to break old habits.

    Sex...

I feel like I'm hitting puberty all over again. It's like once the weight has come off I'm finding that I was less sexually active when I had the extra weight on... and my spouse always complained before hand. Now I can only imagine. I've always been comfortable with sex being an outlet to let out frustrations etc.
  25. I used to love the cold but I just cannot get warm. I'm still not even 2 weeks post op so I'm sure I have a lot of changes to go through still. I miss coffee a lot. I don't miss soda.
