has the sleeve doubled or tripled your sex drive?

how has your diet changed since surgery?
pinkbunies posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My diet has drastically changed since surgery. I used to be able to eat 10 double cheese burgers from McDonalds with no problems. I'd also gulp down 2 32 ounce sodas... no issues. I used to eat 2 extra large pizzas from Papa John's in one sitting. I used to eat an entire box of Cereal... no issues. Now, half a cheese burger if I'm even that lucky. 1 slice of pizza and I'm full No soda at all Cereal doesn't set well with my stomach yet. Do you ever look back at how much you used to eat, then how much you eat now and realize how much of a difference it is? -

I'm bipolar ... if there's anyone out there that could tell me how to take my meds
pinkbunies replied to swtpea637's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Here is a shocker... I was completely bi polar before surgery. I was taking Latuda. After surgery, no mood swings or depression. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but I don't have to take anything for it now. I hope it isn't short lived. -
Just had sleeve surgery on 11 15 2014
pinkbunies replied to naje78's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
oh they told me as soon as surgery was done if I walked around I could take them off. I didn't care how bad I thought I hurt, those dang things were coming off. I took a lot of pictures while I was in Mexico. Normally I'd be embarrassed and shy but this surgery has restored my confidence a lot. The nurse also said to me after the surgery... oh you shaved... meaning my stomach and all I could think was... this is 2 weeks of growth, I wish I would have waxed lol -

I'm going to answer this question with a pic... -
Get some smooth move tea from your grocery store. brew it and drink it. you'll have clear results in 4 to 8 hours.
-
Just wanted to those this out there... This tea is amazing... if you feel bloated or backed up, drink some of this stuff and within 4 to 8 hours... all will be clear.
-
Amazon has Smooth Move. Almost every grocery store including Wal-Mart carries it. I prefer the organic smooth move as it taste better. It is a great laxative.
-
I usually buy it on Amazon. I've also found that Ballerina Tea works great too but it is very powerful. I love when I hear from friends that are embarrassed to tell me ... they are "backed up" I just tell them to come by the house and I'll get them fixed up. LOL I like to use 2 bags at once, let it steep til it cools down then drink away. Don't take sleeping meds and drink this right afterwards. LOL

Forgive me for I have sinned
pinkbunies replied to GotItDoneInHarlem's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was only 74 lbs over weight when I had my sleeve. I did it for all the right reasons. I'm 6 7' so I could def. carry my weight well. I also could eat like you wouldn't believe. I feel like i'm eating to much because I eat an average of 5 to 7 times a day. Even though the meals are small I feel like its too much. -
Really discouraged

There were two bad things about my surgery experience... the long panty hose things they make you wear... seriously socks would have been better in my opinion and then the drain coming out. It's a feeling... I'd describe it as an empty feeling. Also, forgive me for going off topic but did any guys spring an erection when they make you put that gown on? I was so embarrassed by this. They said everything off, robe on... I couldn't get it to go away so I put my underwear on and then the nurse couldn't get the words out in English, then she saw why and just smiled and walked away. I know they were putting me out and I heard one of the guys say oh it'll go away in a minute and then I woke up with surgery done. At least I can laugh about this now. I felt like I was going through puberty all over again LOL. So I guess we'll call it 3 things. -
Mood swings...It's like PMS all the time at 3 months out
pinkbunies replied to chrissy72w's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Also in regards to your question about medication, I'd ask your doctor about Xanax. Maybe 2 MG 3 x a day. it works quickly and will calm you down. I used to take this stuff religiously now I don't need it. Some doctors won't prescribe it, but it sounds like it would definitely help you. -
Mood swings...It's like PMS all the time at 3 months out
pinkbunies replied to chrissy72w's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've had the exact opposite. I used to yell if I was awakened. Last night we got a phone call at 1 and my spouse thought I'd blow a lid... nope, I was content. I've found that since my surgery I'm not angry all the time. I don't have my bi-polar mood swings. I'm more relaxed and things don't bother me as much. We've been seeing a counselor and maybe that has helped. Therapy is nothing to be ashamed of. Talk to someone and you'll be amazed at how much good it will do. -
how has your diet changed since surgery?
pinkbunies replied to pinkbunies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I couldn't live with out pizza. I got yelled at for ordering a whole pizza and only eating one slice. My defense was.. I make plenty of money, if I want to throw $20.00 away I can. I'm pretty much full most of the time by the Protein shakes. I have had issues with taking in enough fluids and I drink gatorade as much as I can and I also try to eat a few sugar free pop sickles. It just seems like so much to drink 64 ounce of Water in a day. -

I finally hit the stall
pinkbunies replied to pinkbunies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
my face is getting more and more slimmer. I can't fit into a size 36 pants anymore without wearing a belt. People are starting to notice. -
So I thought if I kept exercising everyday and I kept active, ate right etc, I could avoid the stall. Nope. I'm back up to an average of 12.5 miles a day walking/slow jog and I feel like I just cannot get enough to eat. I feel like I'm starving my body. I weighed this morning and it showed me actually gaining 2 lbs. LOL. I'm not freaking out as I know I'm doing everything right and the weight will start to come off again soon. Part of me wants to cut back on calories and then part of me also wants to try to increase caloric intake. I just want the weight to fly off again.

Little off topic... but are they any down sides to pot after surgery?
pinkbunies posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I ask this in all seriousness. I live in a state where it is illegal but we're planning on to going to Denver for a ski trip and I want to try it. I don't necessarily have to smoke it, but I was wondering if it would harm my surgery? We're looking at going in January so I'll be like 3 months post op by then. -
I was wondering if any guys get testosterone shots after surgery? I've been getting them to help me keep my muscles built and so far its working out great. I have insurance so its no cost to me but cash pay runs around $225.00 each shot. I go once a week and get an injection.
