I am the type of person who cannot stand people that belittle others. I don't forget. I get even. *evil smile* -
I am really pushing it.

Just be careful. You don't want a hernia. -

If you want to get your passport done quickly, I'd use Travel Visa Pro. Do their budget plan for like $39.00. When I went to Mexico 2 years ago, I never had a passport. They had me a passport, issued and everything in 72 hours. I need to get my passport updated as well and I'm thinking just like you. The cost of the actual passport is $170.00 Yikes. -
I've lost 45 pounds but.......
pinkbunies replied to Melissayw816's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel like my body has lost weight and my face hasn't caught up yet. I still see the fatboy in the mirror. I try not think about it and I know that it will all catch up soon. I'm wearing pants that are smaller now and while I don't see the difference I want to see, everyone else does and I constantly get compliments. -
**Newbie Alert** Not happy

28 lbs in less than two months is great. Did you expect to lose 200 lbs in a month? Nothing is instant. It takes time. You will continue to lose weight. The Gastric Sleeve is a tool and will help you keep it off. You are def. seeing results. Be patient. Its hard to get in enough Protein. I struggle with it everyday. -
Everything relating to my surgery is great. We just moved into a new house and I'm a giant... I'm 6 7' so I'm really tall. The new house has 3 bars in it and one of them is the perfect height for me to bump my hip into the corner of it. I did just that. Last week I had a back spasm and had to go to urgent care. They gave me a non nsid shot. I think I'm going to go back tonight because I can't get the pain in my hip to go away. I know its just from me hitting the corner of the bar. I'm also dealing with mild back pain that is almost gone. Any suggestions on prescriptions that would help with the pain that would be safe for me to take? The Dr. at the urgent care place was scared to prescribe anything because she isn't too familiar with gastric sleeve. She told me I needed to see a surgeon. blah. I'm 31. I shouldn't be falling apart at this age.

I must report something new I have found. I had to go to urgent care the other day due to aches and pains... they gave me a script for Tylenol 3. I've been taking them and doing much better. Guess what? Constipation alert. So I thought smooth move. It didn't touch it. I used two bags in one coffee cup, let it step for 30 minutes and then drank it all and then had another cup, again with two tea bags. nothing. So , I think Tylenol 3 has stood up to smooth move for once. I've been drinking even more Water but I feel like I should be going more and I'm not. I called the doctor and asked about it and she said anything with Seena will do it. I had to laugh because that is the active ingredient in Smooth Move tea and most laxatives.

Bailey Bariatrics in Owasso

*them not him. LOL. BTW I didn't mention the place I had surgery at. So what I'm saying shouldn't sound like an advertisement. This is an odd thread to go on for so many pages about the same place in Owasso. I haven't heard much about them, but I know if I had to choose save $10k or more and go to Mexico or spend it and go to Owasso I'd choose Mexico. I've become a fan of surgery in Mexico. I know I never would have spent the high amount of money on Surgery here. But with the savings in Mexico, it was a no brainer for me. -

They made me fill out a huge questionnaire and they had me send my medical records. They ran tests on the Tuesday I arrived and surgery on Wednesday. So they didn't just go into it blindly. So the surgeon did have background info. She was very sweet. Everyone was so terrified of me going to Mexico. Look at my pictures. I even posted a picture of the drain tube. I give everyone this to compare it to. North Tulsa is very dangerous. We don't judge all of Tulsa based on North Tulsa. Mexico is the same way. There are bad areas but we can't judge an entire country based on a few things that happen in certain areas. We can't Judge all of Tulsa based on the news and murders and thefts etc. -

No. I scheduled my surgery on a Friday and I flew out the following Tuesday. The only thing they told me is to start eating salad and no soda. Then they told me the day before to only consume Clear liquids and a laxative. The next morning I went in for surgery and I was good to go. That is what I liked about Mexico. It was quick. No 3 months of dwelling. My mind was made up and I wanted to go through with it. I feared if I didn't do it, something might come up and then I wouldn't get it done. -

I did mine on October 22. Do your friends run your life or you? sorry that sounds bad, but its a good question. Id suggest having surgery in Mexico for $3299.00 as advertised on this website and then having a Dr. at home follow up with you. With the money you save, you'll be able to afford the dr. with no problem. When I got my surgery, I didn't care what my friends thought. I'm the one who is having the surgery done and it was my choice. I did it for me and my health. -
I'm falling apart help!
pinkbunies replied to pinkbunies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They gave me Tylenol 3, flexerill and a shot of something that starts with a T. She said it was a strong anti inflammatory and since it was a shot and goes in my hip and bypasses the stomach it would be okay. She said it will take about 72 hours for the body to fully absorb it. She felt around on my hip and said I have a bruised bone. When she touched the right spot I was screaming lol. Just got home and its already to a tolerable level. I'm waiting on the pharmacy to get done with my scripts and I think I'm going to retire early tonight and sleep. -

I called the place in Owasso and they wanted a lot of money and it was 3 months to get in. I didn't want to wait 3 months. i wanted to get it done ASAP so I'd look good for spring I also tried a place in Dallas but they were too much. I ended up going to Mexico and having it done. I saved a ton and it was a great experience. I see the billboard on 169 all the time when I'm heading into Tulsa from Owasso for Bailey. I just say yep, I've had that done. -
Im becoming vain... or maybe I'm just taking care of myself
pinkbunies posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I had the surgery in October. We're almost to the end of the year and I'm looking damn good. This week I had the bright idea that I needed my smile to match the slimmer me. I have really nice straight teeth. I have thought they could be whiter. I broke down this week and paid the $400.00 and got my teeth whitened. It was worth it. I was starting to think I was becoming vain, but I want to believe I'm just taking better care of myself Have you found that after surgery, and losing the weight that you take better care of yourself and your image? -
Disappointed insurance denied
pinkbunies replied to Mz. NuNu's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm inpatient and I want instant gratification. My insurance company basically told me... your fat, go on a diet, not our problem. I went to Mexico and had the surgery done for under $5k. I'd suggest Mexico to anyone It's cheaper and they got me in quick. -
Surgery today, in pain
pinkbunies replied to MrsMurky721's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do you have a drain tube? Congrats on getting the surgery. I know it scary but try not to think about it and just think happy thoughts... and think of where you want to be six month from now... because its likely your going to be there. -
Went out shopping and came back with a super full feeling
pinkbunies replied to tfarr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The best advice I got from this forum and my doctor was walk walk walk. I went way out of my way and started quick and got back up to 12 miles a day. Now its cold so I'm not as active. -
OMG The stomach pain!
pinkbunies replied to Linda774's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you taking any antacids ? I had these pains too but I actually didn't think they were that bad. I found that walking helped me a lot. I can't drink a lot of Water or anything fast, so I take a few sips at a time. I've drank a whole bottle down not realizing that its gonna empty right out once its down the shoot and onto the toilet you go. -
Once your have healed, how much manual labor can you do?
pinkbunies replied to gofast's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was very cautious. I took it very slow and easy. I think I'm 8 weeks out now. I feel great. I think I'm returning to normal. food goes down great. I do get full really quick. Today I ate a sausage roll from daylight doughnuts and I was surprised I could eat the entire thing. It filled me completely up. I admit that the one fear I had was getting a hernia. I'm glad that has passed. -

pinkbunies replied to gofast's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, no one is going to believe this but I'll post it anyway. I had my surgery on a Wednesday, flew home on Friday and went back to work on Monday. My job is 100% manual labor. I had one of my employees lift anything heavy but other than that, I returned to my normal work habits.
