Oklahomans having Gastric sleeve this December?
pinkbunies replied to Schnauzer3's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Oh and on water I was never able to consume what they told me to consume. So drink as much as you can and that's all you can do. I had my surgery in 2014 and it was the best thing I ever did. No regrets with the exception of I wish I had done it sooner. -

Oklahomans having Gastric sleeve this December?
pinkbunies replied to Schnauzer3's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
First things first. Never trust a fart. It won't be a fart. Secondly , be ready for clothes to not fit any longer. It is going to happen fast but don't buy to much at once. You will hit a stall but it's normal. Finally if you haven't had a bit poop yet you will and it will be mostly water and like a gusher. -
I've learned to keep mints by my bedside because sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night choking on my stomach acid. I take Pantoprazol, which is prescribed. Watch what you eat. Sweet Tea gives me heart burn. Ketchup causes me to have acid reflux.

What can I safely take for low back pain?
pinkbunies replied to Letsgetgoing2018's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I personally love Codine or Norco. If I take anything else, it causes my stomach to bleed when I poop. -

I don’t feel much different!
pinkbunies replied to KatiT47's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your surgery worked. It takes time. Have you had the big bowel movement yet ? Within three months nothing will fit. Get ready for it And hang in there. BTW are you cold a lot and have no desire for sweets. -

I am so glad I did this surgery in 2014. The weight is still off and I feel amazing. -
I think I started this post years ago..... guess that means I was on to something.

So, how much did you REALLY walk each day the first week?
pinkbunies replied to HeatherS.'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
6 miles the first day after surgery. I learned the golden rule was... never trust a fart. -
Ask your doctor for Xanax. Go through with the surgery no matter what. It'll be the best thing you ever do.

will the weight come back say in 7 to 10 years?
pinkbunies replied to leeann71's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I wish this were a cure all for everything but it is a true lifestyle change. I don't miss drinking 10 2 litter diet coke's everyday, 3 papa johns pizzas everyday etc. Exercising daily and watching your diet is key. chocolate is soooo evil. I have to force myself to stay away from it or plan to do a few extra miles if I consume Chocolate. Hopefully in 7 years I'm in better shape than I am now. -
Stalled 4 months out
pinkbunies replied to flesteresq's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To break my stall, I upped my calorie intake. I was actually eating ice cream and still losing weight. -
Stretching out the sleeve...
pinkbunies replied to hdsjourney's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've heard yes and no. I'm 2 years out and I don't think my stomach has stretched. I can eat about six ounces until I'm full. I still get the restriction when I eat and I'm full. -
Over Halloween I was naughty. It was actually after Halloween. I was at Wally World and they had candy on clearance. I bought $200.00 worth which is a lot when its 75% off lol. I didn't realize it at the time but I could eat all the little chocolate bars I wanted and never get full. This was a slider food and I didn't know it. So I put on 10 lbs really quick. Once I realized what I had done, I took immediate action. I stopped eating bread, stopped eating sweets, doubled down on my workouts and even weight lifting and cut out the carbonated sugar free monster drinks. Low and behold, it seems like the weight just fell off. I started getting shredded again and wow, I would never achieve results like this if it weren't for my sleeve. It is definitely a tool and if you use it right, it works well. Damn I'm going to miss the chocolate.

Had to Abruptly Stop Taking Cymbalta After Surgery; Having Medication Withdrawals
pinkbunies replied to AweLauren's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel your pain, I went through the exact same thing. I had to switch medications because of the time delay stuff. I take Xanax as needed now. -
Confession time, I did something bad.
pinkbunies replied to ella37's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Every time I do this, which is on a daily basis I just put an extra 6 miles a day in.
