Hi Kristen, good job on your progress so far! That's impressive. Also, best of luck to you on your journey. -
Bene fiber and Metamucil have different active ingredients. I've been on a fiber supplement daily and it has helped.

Lurking for 2 years, Gastric Sleeve surgery tomorrow!
***** replied to Dreamingofhealth's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I set a timer on my phone to go off every 3 minutes to remind me to take a sip of liquid. Early on this was the only way I could get close to the intake just to stay hydrated. -
@@shmeyers, I had one of those on my larger incision and it eventually pushed out the remaining thread and healed up well. It felt a little sore and tender to the touch or when my shirt rubbed it. Unless it's getting heat, oozing, the redness starts spreading or you start running fever I think you're ok.

Just today a car parked really close to my car and I was able to squeeze in anyway. Never would have happened before! I would have had to climb through the passenger seat. -

Be cautious, the language in your insurance coverage can be very specific. I would definitely ask them and then get it in writing. -
Protein powder help
***** replied to Quest4TheNewMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I still can't handle the froth my ninja or blender bottle create. Instead of blending i now stir my powder in. I use syntrax and it leaves no clumps and mixes almost instantly. -
Protein powder help
***** replied to Quest4TheNewMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone's tastes are different. Personally I like my shakes like I like my women, thick. However, after surgery I found that I couldn't handle the thicker shakes as they filled me up too quickly. If you like thinner shakes, more like flavored water, look for powders without gum additives (xanthan, cellulose guar) because these increase viscosity in liquids. Many excellent ones have been suggested here and I'm sure you'll find the right one for you. -

Jen, looks like tofu has roughly 10g of protein for half cup. May not be best choice. How about jerky? I'm thinking about using single serving packets to help meet my goals. I think one jack links packet has 22g. -
