Truly don't know what to do
***** replied to Jennifer Rogers's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@Jennifer Rogers, I had been having trouble getting in my Protein shakes also. Protein in general really. I was in no way able to eat or drink enough. I found that it was because the shakes were too "heavy" for me. The blender and Blender Bottle would aerate them too much. I couldn't stomach them. I finally decided to get a powder with no gum additives (xanthan, cellulose, guar) as they are used to thicken shakes. This helped me to tolerate more liquid with protein And eventually my tastes began to right themselves. -
I had mine on 10/13 also.

im on Prevacid. I think zegrid used to make a powder you could mix in a drink. May want to inquire about that if what you're on isn't As pleasing to the palette -
Yes, could be and it may be creating Extra air as you swallow.

@@Aribay1, when you feel that pressure you are full. To me it feels like a burp that wants to come up but isnt. It may be something called "frothing". This is your new anatomy creating froth to help digest the food and it may come up a little if you over do it.
-
@@Aribay1, I think so. See how it feels when you try it. I've been surprised at how little I eat to get to satisfied.

Everyone is different but I stopped pain medication 4 days post op and most pain was gone after 5 days post op. I still get zings if I cough hard or sneeze hard and im 3 weeks out.
-
The advice I got from my NUT was to stop eating when I'm satisfied, not full. I take small bites and chew thoroughly and take 5-6 minutes between bites. This has helped a lot.

Really interesting that it subsides when you move around. I wonder if it's musculoskeletal. -

@@jstrong630, What has your surgeons office told you about this? Just curious if you are still healing internally and just irritating things. -
Physically I have not gained in length. I've measured it several times. Does it look longer, yes, for reasons others have mentioned. Less fat, more of it is exposed. I've gained several inches of "exposure". I will add that my erections are fuller and more intense. The vessels in my shaft are more pronounced and the head is much fuller and rigid. This has increased the size of my erection In both girth and length. Very, very satisfying.

I did, recently. So far so good. When is your informational session?

I can really help. I had no issue with the preop diet and even lost 25 Lbs during it. Are you already leaning toward the sleeve?
-
Hi @@Courtneyxo17! My advice would be to Educate yourself as much as possible. If you've already done that then you're off to a great start. For me, my relationship with food was damaging and I had to confront that before continuing. I made small changes to my diet, Gradually over 7 months that resulted in significant weight loss. Because I have made those changes, it has been easier for me to transition to the post op diet And in specific, eating smaller portions. Everyone is different and for me this made a huge impact. Good luck to you and happy early birthday!

Clothes off, first thing in the morning. When you first get up in the morning Your water weight in your body is about the same on a daily basis.

Just over 3 weeks post op for me and im down 34 pounds since surgery. I'm still on semi solid foods. eggs are definitely a mainstay. Love em poached with a runny yolk to retain the good nutrients. Non fat refried Beans, 2% cottage cheese are also great. I'm looking to start using more seasonings and sauces. Any suggestions? My go to Protein powder is fuzzy navel by Syntrax. Superior solubility, excellent taste and no added gum additives. Went back to work this past Monday and am holding up just fine. Just trying not to get overwhelmed. -
I agree, i am definitely on the rise. Pun intended!
