About Me
hello
my name is Amy and I am 33 married and have two children. I have always had a weight problem but managed to keep it under control. I started a new job in a child care centre and was doing well until I was sitting on the floor interacting with the children and a child fell onto the side of my knee dislocating my patella.
I was rushed to hospital and put in a brace for 6 weeks. As time went on my knee got worse so I had to go in for surgery on the 10/10/11 I had a TTT I had my leg broken so they could reattach my tendon.
I was in bed for 4 weeks and that's when my weight started to get worse.
Due to the surgery I had on my right knee it gave way on me and I tore the tendons in my left knee long story short to this day I have had 15 knee surgery's 3 on my left and 12 on my right and I am going in for my 16th surgery at the end of next week.
In the 3 years of pain and depression I have put on 30kg and now have high blood pressure and am borderline diabetic I can not be on my feet for more then 45 mins because the pain is to much if I push myself I end up in bed and cant weight bare. my kids suffer the most because I just cant do anything with them. I have tried everything to loses weight my last hope is bariatric surgery.
so here I am my journey begins.
cheers
amy.
