I cannot believe it has been 6 months! My achievements: lost 58% of my excess weight went from an (US) size 20/22 to a size 12/14 Went from a waist size of 45 inches to 34 inches Lost 63 lbs Went from a BMI of 42.8 to a BMI of 31.3 No more Blood Pressure Medication! Actually training for a 5k I am also proud to say that I am a very happy bander!

Hi All, Well another crappy week and another week with no loss. You would think the fill would have worked, but only 1 lb in 3 weeks. My MD won't see me until April! I may need to call after 1 month and tell them I have not seen any loss and hope they can get me in. I know when I spoke with the MD for this fill he said that he is surprised that I needed another fill. He said that most patients are fine with just 1-2 fills and I am now looking for 3! Oh well. I did get in 4 workouts last week, but the sweets in the office and the wine at parties were my downfall. I stopped the wine on Monday, but the sweets are still getting to me. I have thrown everything out and put a note on my door NO SWEETS ALLOWED! Let's hope this works! Here are the latest results. I don't see everyone's number, so let me know. Wow - some people are doing great! Congratulations. I am stuggling like others, but it is in my control. I need to put a game plan together to get out of this rut. I know that a lot of this is due to DH surgery and the holidays. I am grateful no gain, just maintaining. Here's to a great week for all of us! -
Mommie - great job! Lellow - I hope your foot is better soon. Yes - I do need to get in the gym more. I think that is part of my problem as well as the junk I am eating. This is all my fault so I have to control it.

I am surprised by the BMI 26 which in US is considered overweight. I would only need to lose 24 lbs, and maybe that would be good! Thanks for the nice note, I hate plateau's! I need to get my head in the game again.

lello, Wow - I have not even thought about PS yet and here you are making a surgery date! I work out 3-4 days a week as well, but have not seen as good a result as you have. I know everyone is different, but I want this off me now! LOL. You don't have much in your band either which is wonderful. Good luck and yes - take lots of pain meds.

Hi All, Thank you for everyone's support. My DH came home and is recovering nicely! I am having a hard time getting out of the carb addiction I currently have. I need to get away from them! I have worked out 3 times this week already which has kept me at a balance so I did not gain anything this week. I thought the fill would help, but I have only lost 1 lb since the fill 2 weeks ago. It sounds like a lot of us are having a problem lately. I have heard about the 6 month plateau which I think we are at. We are all so used to losing at a pretty good clip when we slow down or plateau we get frustrated. We we all need to kick our butts to get back on the right path. I know we all can do this challenge! Amy, Wow - 20 lbs with a condition you are having? That is fantastic! You should be very happy on what you have accomplished so far. Being in the gym is what has gotten me so far so fast. I am now seeing the plateau which is very frustrating to me. I need to kick things up a notch so I can start to see some kind of loss. Together we can all do this!

Congratulations!!! How did you train for this? I want to run a 5k in July and I am trying (not this week). Where do you live that you can run a 5k? It is 20 degrees in lovely Upstate NY.

Hi All, Thank you for all of your well wishes! My DH surgery went well, but unfortunately he went into kidney failure. Luckily they were able to resolve it within 48 hours, but boy those were some scary hours. He is doing much better now and we hope for him to be discharged within the next few days. I am trying to keep in line, but I feel like I am taking the easy way out with food. I at least got in a 30 minute workout today which is the first since Thursday last week. Let's hope things keep improving!

I thought since we all check in on the Friday WI thread, I would use Thursday for our Challenge. I got a fill yesterday and boy do I notice it! I did my liquids yesterday and did get a work out in. I am having a bit of a hard time drinking my coffee this am. Hopefully I am not too tight! Let me know where you are at today and I will continue to update our losses. Last week 172 This week 172 I exercised 3 times and walked the mall a couple of times. I know the 0 loss is due to wine and treats. I am happy no gains over the holidays like normal. I hope to be back in the loss column next week! I have a fill on Wednesday so I am sure I will see one. Gilta

Hey - I am there with you! Ok - so how about we buddy up for a bit until we get over this crappy time? My problem is Desserts. I know they are bad for me, I know they will make me gain weight but I find I am eating them without thinking! I am sorry about your insurance, that stinks. I have had to wait 2 months for my fill as well. I finally go next week. I agree ask to be put on a wait list. You never know. Thank goodness for working out otherwise I would have had a major gain. I have lost 2 lbs over the past 4 weeks, but at least it is a loss. The hardest time of the day for me is evenings. I do fine during the day, but when I sit down that is when I get into trouble. It did not help that I was off for 5 days. I started back to work today, so I am hoping this helps. I am going to start knitting again so I cannot eat! Ok this challenge did not work out so well for me. :confused: I think the need for a fill and the holidays did a number on me. I was better than I have ever been before which is wonderful, but overall the Desserts got me. For this challenge, I lost 6 lbs. Not what I wanted, but hey I will take the loss!

I have noticed over the past few weeks I am having more and more hair loss. I was forewarned that this may happen due to surgery and/or weight loss. Is anyone else having this problem? My hair is long (1/2 down my back) so I am probably noticing it more. It is just that my pony tail is getting smaller and smaller!
