Hi All, I just wanted to let you know I was approved for insurance! I will be going in Feb. for my nutrition meeting. I then have to do 2 more nutrition follow ups before I can get the band, but I am on my way. It looks like May for me. Gilta

My MD is having me have an ultrasound of my gall bladder. He said that with major weight loss there is a higher risk of gall stones. I may have to have my gall bladder removed during the lap band surgery. Is this a usual thing? Thanks, Gilta

I know this has been probably asked about a million times, but I am just starting on my journey. I went to the information session this week. This is the 2nd one I went to. The first one I was not ready to move forward. I was not certain if this was the way to go for me. Well I am ready to move forward now since I have been diagnosed with High BP. I am having my MD fill out my paperwork today. They said that it can take "awhile" to get to me with an answer. What does that mean? She told me they have seen up to 3 months. Does this sound right? Hi, I am starting my path to the lap band procedure. I sat through a seminar last November and decided to wait a bit. I am going to another seminar in December and plan to move forward with the procedure. Any suggestions or words of wisdom? Thanks! Gilta
