i had my post op visit and only lost a couple of lbs. my doc said not to be worried about it just focus on healing and starting good eating habits wait till you get a fill remeber the band is a tool and it takes time

I had my srgry on 12-28 and didn't have much pain at all and luckily no gas pain I walked like every hour around my house for a few min. bulding a house is a lot of work and your energy level will propably be down for about a week or more take it easy and I don't think your suppose to do any heavy lifting for about 2 weks my doc said no more then 10lbs.

Hello everyone how are we all doing less then a month away to meet our mini goals well I have been going to the gym and doing the treadmill but it's been about 8 days and the scale s not going down actually I believe it went up a 1lb. Maybe because I started to eat (mushie stage) and was on liquids before? Hope everyone is doing well!!!!!:tt1:

WELL I SAW FAIRY'S POST AND JUST WANTED TO ADD THAT I HAVE A SEX SWING I'VE HAD MINE FOR ABOUT A YEAR ALEADY MINE CAME WITH THIS BIG METAL STAND AND AT THE TOP WHERE IT HOOKS IT HAS THIS GIANT SPRING WHERE IT HOOKS TO THE STAND MY DH CAN ASSEMBLE IT IN ABOUT 10 MIN. AND WHEN NOT IN USE WE JUST PUT IT IN THE CLOSET, LET ME TELL YOU ITS AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT HAS THIS SEAT THAT IS LIKE ONE STRAP THATS YOUR SEAT AND TWO MORE OF THESE STIR-UP THINGS FOR YOUR FEET TO GO IN LET ME TLL YOU AT MY TOP 300LBS. THAT SWING MAKES YOU FEEL LIGHT ASS A FEATHER MY DH WAS ABLE TO MANUEVER ME AROUND SO EASILY AND NOT TO GET TO GRAPHIC BUT OF COUSRE I TO HAVE THE PROBLEM OF STAYING ON TOP FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME BUT WE EXPIEREMENTED WITH THE SWING AND HE SAT IN IT AND I WAS ABLE TO STAY ON TOP TILL THE END YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN IT WAS LIKE VICTORY FOR ME A SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT LIKE YEAH I DID THAT HAHAHA ANYWAYS ENJOY YOUR SWING!!!!!!!!!!STILL CAN'T WAIT TO THIN ENOUGH TO DO THE HELD UP AGAINST THE WALL THATS JUST SO RAW AND HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eyebrows:

Hi Allison I had my surgery on the 28th I see my doc this Fri I'm nervous don't think I've lost that much weight. That's awsome you lost 13lbs. already. There is always a lot of support here and if you have any questions a lot can be answered here. Good Luck. Keep me posted on your progress:)

Oh my goodness I have those as well I didn't think of using them to sleep with, good idea, I was just thinking of how useful they would be after (kinda of nervous about putting any strain on port or stomach and there is not that many positions that are comfortable yet) :eek:

how exciting !!!!!!!!!!! well i live i hour from my hospital and i was worried about the ride home so i ended up taking some of my liq. pain med. the doc perscribed before i left for the drive home it was the best idea for me i was also worried about the bumps in the road so i ended up just falling asleep because of the meds. hope this helps:angry

I had my surgery on the 28th and I don't have any co mordidities (suprising) and I have a low tolerence from pain, so I was reallly nervous and have never had surgery before, as soon as i arrived at the hospital at 8:00 am they said that i wuold be staying overnight 23 hours that was up to my ins. (I found out later ) ,i was extremely nervous about surgery especially the anesth. part all i remember was going to the operating room and they gave me the sedative and i was out my operation lasted an hour i ended up having a hital hernia i woke up in the recovery room groggy and just felt pressure in my upper abdomen i had a pain pump didn't use it often maybe five times my hole stay i slept most of the day walked around like at 5:00pm that day and left the next day at 2:00pm they unhooked my iv and morphine pump and i had to be able to consume 4oz. of water in 1 hour wothout feeling nauseas overall 6 days later i feel good not that much gas pain and have been walking around just to make sure i get no gas pain:o hope this helps

:clap2:hey tracy its rebellerina remember me ,I had my surgery on the 28th it was at 12:00 it took one hour and they found a hital hernia i ended up staying overnight i just got home at 5:00 haven't had gas pain yet should i have had some already ??? keep me posted tracy

i've been on the low carb slimfasts they don't have as much sugar for 3 days only three a day and i only drink water and hot green tea with stevia thats all i'm starving but i've lost 6lbs. in 3 days but this is my 2 week pre-op maybe try the lowcarb ones good luck

what time are you having your surgery ??????? princess tracy mine is at 1:30 or so i'm so nervous how about you have you had any other surgeries? what tests did your doc run on you before?

Hey princess we have the same surgery date 28th today is my 2nd day and i feel weak and I 'm getting sick sorethroat runny nose my doc lets you have 3 slimfasts a day what are you allowed??? good luck i hope the headaches go away keep me posted it would be nice to talk to someone going through the same thing at the same time

no nothing else i figured each shake has 180 cals each so thats only 540 a day i don't know it doesn't sound right i see my doc on the 19th so i will ask then my surgery is the 28th

hello everyone i'm 28 and have a 7 year old daughter and been with my byfrnd for 8 yrs ,today i had all my lab work done and i started my liquid diet today surgery date 12-28 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm scared and nervous and excited all at the same time this seems unreal the thought of actually being a normal size

wow 5 slimfasts a day i only get three i started my pre-op today 13 days to go:rolleyes::huggie:

my surgery date is the 28th as well today is the first day of shakes for me my doc said slim fast low carb 3 times a day and thats it....... I feel nauseas and irritable I also have a headache keep me posted:faint:

oh my goodness I am so envious of you guys who have finished the waiting game it's been weeks still waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in los angeles but I've heard good things about Dr.Oliak check out his website he also does small seminars in his office held by him. I'm still waiting for approval to have him do my surgery.:biggrin1:
