I had struggled with my obesity for my entire life. At 22 years old, I felt that food had already won and I would forever be a slave to it. After some encouragement from my parents, I realized the only thing that was going to help me beat this was doing something extreme. So, in August of 2013 I made the decision to get a VSG. After a long 10 months of nutrition counseling, psych eval, lab work, physicals, sleep studies, EKGs...the list goes on, I finally got the surgery on June 5th 2014.
Since I decided to keep the surgery a secret, I wrote about it on a blog starting from a few days after I made the decision to get it. I would love for you to come join me on my journey as I make my way to Onederland.
