Byes the pain is coming from where my port used to be. It's all swollen and tender. I had my band put it in July 2007 and didn't really have much trouble with it untul then past year. My dr who fitted my band is no longer operating in my area and I was being taken care of by the public health system. The professor said after seeing my X-ray and gastroscope results he discovered my band had slipped. My symptoms were chronic reflux especially at night. Also from my scope the professor said the band had started to erode into my stomach. It was in just over 7 years so it was time. They don't last forever. I had lost about 5 stone. I'm petrified I'll put it back on without my best friend, my band. Lol.

Hi all. I had my band removed 22 days ago and oh my the pain is unbearable. I've had 3 ceasarian sections and a tummy tuck and I've never felt pain like this. The consultant said I have a hematoma where the port was. I'm on Tylex and difene which isn't really doing much except making me feel pukey and constipated. Who has had their band removed and when does this pain go away? I had to pull out of college and I'm out of work also. I thought I'd be back to normal a week or two at most. The Dr said it could take up to six weeks to get better. I'm going stir crazy sitting on my plum doing nothing. It's a job getting in and out of bed and doing normal tasks like getting dressed. I've had enough.
