You look fantastic. -
I told every one that I a, friends with or related to. Most of the people I work with know also. One of my coworkers, has recently lost weight through Weight Watchers. We compare weight loss and exercise tips. Her journey is done I'm half way there, but even though we've used different methods to lose weight it's nice to have the support. Only pain in the but thing is when people ask me how I'm feeling, my dad usually asks this right after he asks how much weight I've lost. Luckily I can truthfully say great!, because I am.

Cleared to start stage 3 of diet but scared to.....
Wendyfm replied to MS_Science_Sleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told three meals and one or two snacks, and that they should total 1,000-1,200 calories. 300 per meal 100 per snack. Although I find I'm eating a little less for meals than that, especially breakfast. Breakfast is generally 100 calorie whole wheat English muffin with cheese or almond/peanut butter, prunes and for me coffee. Lunch is a protein, fruit and veg, supper is protein, veg, maybe a starch. Then I generally have a yogurt for a snack or a fruit. Hard boiled eggs for protein too. Sometimes, crackers or wheat for thins for a snack. -
All I do is Dream About Food!
Wendyfm replied to HawaiianTexan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have had food dreams, but am more likely to have smoking dreams ,although I have been a non smoker for almost eight years. Either one makes me wake up in a panic. -
Looking at a sleeve. Many thoughts/ questions.
Wendyfm replied to smiles_22's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Check your insurance. Mine covered every thing except for Dr. Office co-pays. There were steps (hoops) that I had to go through. Testing, counseling, six months of seeing a dietitian. But all of that was fairly simple. It did take me a year to do all of this, but that was also because I wanted a summer surgery because I work in a school. -
I opted for the sleeve. The band wasn't an option. The hospital I chose doesn't do bands anymore. The bypass seemed too extreme for me. I didn't want any vitamin deficiency issue, malabsorption issues so chose the Sleeve. I think it was a good fit, although I'm losing a little slower than I like.

Happy with my calves. My thighs are still pretty big, the've maybe lost two inches, but they've always been big.

I've been separated for three years, can't find my ex to divorce him, that's a long story. Basically I do not want a relationship or to date, even at this point. Maybe never. I seem to be really bad at relationships.

How long was your hospital stay?
Wendyfm replied to Sexy Granni's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I spent three nights in the hospital, but that was because I had nausea and vomiting the day after and couldn't keep anything down. That put me a day behind as far as liquids. By the day I went home I was keeping jello and broth down. So was released to go home. -
I tend to lose a few pounds and then gain a pound or two back and then lose it again a day or two later and then lose again for a while and then go through that cycle again. Even with that I am losing. Think our bodies are all unique,so don't panic about gaining a couple of pounds.

I was told to eat between 1,000 and 1,200 calories a day . At least 60 grams of protein at least 60-80 grams of carb and no more than 140 grams of carbs.

I didn't even have an EKG, because I had had one in the past two years, did have an Endoscopy and a colonoscopy ,found an ulcer and polyps. Also had testing for sleep Apnea done, which I have. I think testing is different for different doctors. Plus my BmI was almost 50 to start.

I went off my blood pressure meds about three weeks after surgery because my pressure was low. Now it's pretty much normal, occasionally it's like 132/77, usually it's like 117/68-70 ish. Pretty happy with it, although I check it about once, twice a week.

For the most part, I've been healthier since surgery. Haven't had to use asthma meds. Or allergy meds, nearly as much. Now that we're in winter I just started allergy meds. And have come down with a chest thing. In general though feel so much healthier.
