bumping for a friend... bump bump bump

I managed to get the "balls" to tell a very close friend/ask for her opinion, and I knew she would tell me her true feelings. She was excited and told me she was "proud" for me doing this for me! I could NOT freakin' believe it. I'm still not going to tell the family or other friends, just knowing the she knows, and knowing that she will be thinking of me while I'm in surgery, etc, I feel a MASSIVE weight off my shoulders regarding doing this alone. Still scared, and all that, but now I have someone in my life to "watch and walk" me through this. Phew! angie

bandayed, Best wishes and here's to a quick recovery and losing lots o' pounds! I too am having my "last supper" weekend... I get banded on Friday, Oct 28. I'm having the SAME exact feelings you mentioned. Thank you for sharing that, because I needed to know it's not just lil ole me... Sadly enough, I couldn't find one single person to go out to "dinner" with this weekend... so much for eating my last weekend away! Keep us posted, ok! Still scared but getting excited -- angie

Hi all. Well, I finally bit the bullet, and I made my appointment to get the band. I'll be going over the weekend of October 28 (having the band that day, and staying the weekend). Wondering if anyone else will be in TJ at that time for surgery too? Feel free to PM me, and maybe we can catch up with one another.

Hi everyone. I just watched one of the saddest and most disturbing episodes of a television show I've ever seen (seriously). It was the episode of Cold Case tonight on CBS. Did anyone else see it? What did you think/feel about it? I was literally crying and very upset at the end. Why are people so cruel? As many of you may know, Cold Case is often based off of "somewhat" real scenarios/cases. The fact that this storyline could be even remotely true is horrifying... Just wanted to vent. :think

Hi everyone... I'm not banded yet, and am still doing the yes/no game with myself, but one question I've been dying to know the answer to is this: Is it true that bandsters should not, for any reason, drink water (or whatever) while eating? I can't find the answer on here, probably because it's a known rule that drinking while eating is a no-no, but is it really? I'm having a hard (weird I know) time getting my mind around not having a glass of water or iced tea with a meal. Thanks for the help, in advance!
