Congratulations! There will be days that you may doubt your decision, but keep up the hard work and keep moving forward. It's not a quick fix and it takes a lot of hard work after. It is a mental game and you can beat it. The surgery really helps with that. I was really scared before my surgery too, but I am 11 months post-op and am incredibly grateful for sticking to it. This is a life-changing and life-saving decision. IT'S WORTH IT!! -

BMI under 35. Would you sleeve or bypass?

I was told by the surgeon that if I wanted to loose 50 pounds, to get the sleeve and if I wanted to loose 100 pounds, to get the bypass. That was the deciding moment for me. -
Slow down your eating and take really small bites. I downloaded an app on my cell phone called "slow eater" and it has a timer for one to up to three minute intervals between bites. It really helped me slow down. The app is free, that may work for you too.

I am a week out from my Bypass, I want to hear from you all, HONESTLY , do any of you regret doing this? I know how I feel BUT.....

I am 5 months post-op Gastric Bypass and I would absolutely do it all over again. Yes, there is a lot of, after surgery management to hurdle through, but I would absolutely do it all over again. It has completely given me my life back and I have lost 89 pounds in only 5 months. My clothes feel better, fit better, look better. I would never want to go back. You already made the commitment to yourself, just stick with it, you are worth it! -
