  2. Hi all. I had my lap band done on Oct 8th and I am still in a lot of pain when it comes to getting up and down. Sometimes the pain is so intense it puts me in tears. Is this normal? I am walking and moving around like I've been told but I'm still getting this bad pain. How long did it take for the pain to go away?

Thanks all. Yes, it's a pulling feeling around the port. I'll try a heating pad. The last 2 days it has been fine most of the day & really hurting in the evening. I really appreciate your responses.

Any Banders with MS (multiple sclerosis)?

Hi there. I know that this is an old post, but maybe you're still around to see my response. I was diagnosed with MS in 2012 and just recently had lap band (10/8). My neurologist was in full support of the procedure. Since the healthy lifestyle helps keep your MS under control, the lap band is a definite good tool. I'd be more than happy to discuss how I've handled my MS, and maybe you can share some of your experiece with the band. Hope to hear from you. Ashley
