    Loving my vitamin patches!

If you click on the highlighted words vitamin patch it takes you to the website page.
  2. My goal loss was 111 lbs, at 3 months I had lost 55.8, which was right after the holidays. I reached my goal at 16 1/2 months, it took me 7 months to lose the last 5. I have kept it all off for 5 months now.

    Reactive hypoglycemia

How does one get a diagnosis of hypoglycemia? I just looked it up and have many of the symptoms.

Anemia despite high dosages of iron

I have heard that liquid iron is better!
  5. I know it is easy to say now, but it will all be worth it!

    Depressed?

It could be any combination of the things you mentioned. I would consult a mental health professional sooner rather than later, as you don't want to sabotage your progress. Please keep us posted!

    Sad

I have screwed up many times, learn from it and move on. You are only human!
  8. It is actually more important to get fluids than to eat. You should call your doctor though, any time you are concerned.

Need advice - luncheon Sunday - What do I do?

You could also tell them you are fasting. Don't compromise your plan for anyone, especially this early on.

    How did you sleep?

I slept in my own bed, and used pillows. I didn't have any trouble.
  11. I can't offer you a solution for the short term, but mine were always awfully painful. After surgery and 4 months of being in the fetal position with a heating pad on my back and my abdomen, I got an IUD, which I did not at all need for birth control (my husband had s vasectomy) and it has been miraculous! You may want to consider it. I did try the Depoprovera shot but was terrified of the weight gain side effect.
  12. My advice is to eat slowly, don't drink your calories and exercise! Keep us posted!
  13. Comparison is the thief of joy! This is your journey. Work your program and celebrate your successes! We are all different biologically. Follow the rules, exercise when you can and allow yourself to enjoy every one of those 23 lbs. I am rooting for you! Keep us posted!

My Body Doubles as an Icebox

You are not alone! I am freezing al of the time too. I have a blanket in the car, a heavy sweater in my office and I don't go any wear without a jacket.
  16. All of the above advice is really good, but it is also important to avoid anyone who can't (for whatever reason) support you. There will always be someone to tell you your not eating enough, or that you look tired, or that you have lost too much weight. Just smile and move on. These people aren't the ones that can't clip their own toe nails. They maybe even have good intentions, but if anything makes you question your decision or your goals, you don't need them right now. Good luck and keep us posted.

    Spouses... jealousy

For what it's worth, I think it is probably normal to have some worry. We all know of people who lost weight, got a breast implant or even dental work and it gave them self confidence. Some of these people find someone else. However, if you start to doubt your decision or feel that your success is making someone unhappy, you may want to get counseling. If someone loves you, they should want you to be the best you can be.

    Spouses... jealousy

I am really sorry, the struggle is hard enough without someone undermining your efforts. The last thing in the world you need is someone making you feel guilty for taking care of yourself. My advice to you is that you go to Counselling for yourself, to help you figure out strategies for dealing with his insecurities. I believe strongly that you can't control what someone does to you, but you can control how you react. Good luck!
  19. And as I mentioned several times for those who read, I was at 300-450 for a period of time post op. I have long since past that time and calorie limit, I have successfully reached my goal. My current goal is 800-1000 calories a day.
  20. Enough already, you have absolutely no knowledge of my nutritionists or physicians qualifications.
  21. For everyone's information, I am between 800 and 1000 calories have been at my goal for a while. It would never occur to me to advise someone to contradict the advise of their professional doctors and nutritionist, ever.
  22. As I said, I was at 300-450 until I was several months post-op. That calorie goal increased over time. it obviously worked for me, because I never stalled until I was 1 year post-op and and 90% of my goal. I have and will continue to trust the advice given by my nutritionist.
