    Problems

I take my lunch every day, so it is already laid out for me. You have to be able to resist. If not, you will end up where you were before.

Road Trip - Is it safe?

I really don't think it will be a problem. I was back to work a week after surgery. Just listen to your body and don't be tempted to eat things you shouldn't.

    Sandwich Wraps

I was 2 weeks out when I ate toast, in accordance with my doctors plan. The only thing that occasionally gives me problems is bagels. But small bites and chewing well helps!

    Exhaustion

I never felt tired, so I can't really relate. I do think it may have something to do with vitamins and minerals, though. Is your blood work coming back ok?
  5. I took 2 weeks, but went back after 1.
  6. That is a lot of cardio per day, how many hours do you cardio?
  7. I find my stomach is a little sensitive to hot/cold. Like when I gulp coffee in the morning, it sometimes doesn't react well. Also, shredded meat sometimes causes me problems. Usually, if I take it slow and chew well, I am fine though.
  8. I get lightheaded if I standup too quickly, but my blood pressure has always been really low, like 85 over 55

    Exhaustion

I don't recall feeling tired, but you may want to ask your doc about b-12 and iron.

    Vitamins at one year

    I take 10,000 mg.

    Vitamins at one year

There is no "scientific" proof, but I felt better taking it. I did lose hair, but it wasn't horrible and it didn't last long.

    Vitamins at one year

I take b12 (500 mg daily), calcium chews 2 x per day, and the bariatric advantage multi. I also take mega red krill oil, cause I don't need cholesterol meds anymore. I also take biotin, even though I am no longer losing my hair.
  13. I would focus on cardio at this point.

    2 months post-op

Stay focused! Not on the scale but on doing what you are supposed to be doing, if your not already start exercising. It will come off, it has too!
  15. I was allowed to eat ANYTHING after week 7.
  16. My plan was over 7 weeks, after week 7 I was able to eat anything including raw vegetables and all meat products. I have never experienced dumping at all, although a very small bite of sweets is usually enough for me now. My advice is to chew well and eat slowly, like 1 bite a minute. It is hard, but you have to listen closely to your body. Also, it helps your pouch stay full longer which helps you be able to wait 5 1/2 hours between meals. Good luck! and keep us posted
  17. Please don't feel bad. You have to live your life. I don't know why you fell asleep, and I am 8 months post op and have NEVER been told to avoid carbs, fats or anything else. I try to eat protein first, veg and fruit second and carbs third, but I eat WHATEVER I want, to include cookies, ice cream, cheesecake, etc. try to avoid eating outside your meal times and definitely avoid calories from liquids, but other than that you should be good!
  18. My surgeon said that you should work your cravings into your meals, as your stomach will only hold a small amount. Just try to avoid eating outside of your meals and definitely avoid any calories from liquid as they don't do much to fill you up.
  19. Try to eat every 5 1/2 hours. When your pouch is full you should be able to wait that long before eating.
  20. I took 6 pills, one of them was large. I was NEVER told to crush, just to space them apart a little bit. Take with lots of fluid.
  21. I never needed a pillow and my doctor absolutely does not prescribe pain medication. I promise you will be fine, just stay focused on hydration, protein and vitamins. I believe you will be great. Good luck and keep us posted!
  22. I was back to work in 6 days! I know you can do it!

    Hairloss and Hairstyles

It's supposed to help your skin, hair and nails. I started taking it a couple of months before my surgery.
  24. I didn't get cravings initially, now I try to fit my cravings into one of my 3 meals. Your pouch can only hold so much, you are allowed to eat during meals. I really try hard to not eat outside of meals though, and no calories from drinks.

    10 days post op

You should follow your doctors advice. I was on soft foods by then, but I don't know your doctors rationale.
