aelovelady replied to deesleevednowbypassed's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't think it is appropriate to use this forum for advice and support to collect money. -

My mother told everyone about my surgery!
aelovelady replied to bellabloom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are right, she should be ashamed. Calm down a bit and make sure you tell her how hurt you are and how betrayed you feel. Please don't let this sabotage your progress. And don't ever let her hurt you again! Good luck -
Poll: Would you have surgery again if you............
aelovelady replied to lovedXJesus's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I honestly would, to be able to sleep at night and breathe easy, to have energy! Sure, but the weight loss is also a symptom of a healthy mindset which comes as a result of making this decision. -

And back in the hospital I go!
aelovelady replied to bellabloom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am so sorry this is happening to you! And that your surgeon has no compassion, what s jerk! I will say this though, I don't think most doctors prescribe gall bladder medication. My doctor said it isn't really proven effective. Please try not to let this hamper your weight loss, hopefully you will find it worth the trouble in the end! -
When drinking protein shakes...
aelovelady replied to MamaTo3inNH's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The nutrients still are absorbed into the blood. It just doesn't stay long in your stomach. -
hospital stay and back to work
aelovelady replied to keriannk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I may also add that I left the hospital with no pain meds. It is my doctors practice to not prescribe pain meds, he says that if you need them, you should stay in the hospital. -

aelovelady replied to keriannk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was in the hospital for two days and returned to work in a week. I planned to take 2 weeks, but I felt really good, so I went back early -

Did they feed me too much?
aelovelady replied to MamaTo3inNH's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your pouch is actually pretty hard to stretch and impossible to stretch with liquids and soft food, it oozes out from the bottom into your intestines. This is probably why you aren't feeling over full either. -
Carbonated Water?
aelovelady replied to BearerOfLight's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think it is fine as long as it isn't before or after eating. I, personally can't drink carbonated anything. It really bothers my stomach! -

Stalled and depressed
aelovelady replied to breehuskins's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would spend some time every day walking. It shouldn't affect your shoulder too much and it will certainly speed up your metabolism! -
Hi! To be honest, it sounds more like you don't want to have the surgery than like you are having doubts. I would recommend you stop perusing the surgery option until you are at a point in your life where it will work for you. Good luck and thank you for your honesty!

First day of foods...
aelovelady replied to AC274132's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the same problem with grits. You almost have to make them so stiff, which may not be good for you right now. -
Weight loss stall...?

Keep on doing what you are supposed to be doing! It isn't unusual, most people have this happen at some point! -
What multivitamin do you take?
aelovelady replied to annebqui's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take Bariatric Advantage chewable multi. I like it! -
I LOVE my treadmill! I try to make it a commitment to do something every single day. Even if it is only 10 minutes, it usually works out that I do a whole work out and feel so much better. I will say this though, I really do not appreciate it when my husband "insists" that I go work out! I don't like being "managed"!

Eating and drinking at the same time.
aelovelady replied to bellabloom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told it was the cardinal sin of Bariatric surgery, by my surgeon. As it pushes the good through your stomach allowing you to become hungrier sooner. It really defeats the purpose of having the surgery in the first place.
