Hi! my name is Allison, I am 112 lbs overweight and have been for 5 years. I initially began my journey by researching the lap-band and after meeting with my surgeon decided on the RNY Gastric By-Pass procedure. I am currently on the pre-op liquid diet and my surgery is in 1 day 19 hours and 20 minutes, not that I am counting. I hope to learn from the other members of this forum, advice and tips especially regarding the post-op expectations and diet.
Today, 19 October 2014, I am 5 days post-op and am feeling really good. I have very minimal pain from the incision sites and no other nausea or other gastro pain. I am still obviously on a liquid diet with 12 oz of protein drink per day, other low-cal, no-cal fluids. I really love sugar-free popsicles so it is working out. I started walking today 1/4 mile this morning, 1/3 mile this afternoon and I plan on walking another 1/3 to 1/2 mile tonight before bed. I have been going embarrassingly slow but it is a marathon not a sprint.
