Hello, I'm Revgirl, new to the forum and new to the idea of reaching out and grabbing onto this speeding star called, "a new life!" I'm in the taste and drool stage as I applaud all the selfies and successes on the photo site. I'm 4 weeks pre-surgery for a sleeve gastrectomy and am like a giddy girl waiting for a date with a guy I've had a crush on for a long time, only the crush is on my better self, my healthier self. I've been too busy caring for the people around me so I decided its my turn to care about me and I'm going to make this happen. My general dr. recently putting me on a second blood pressure, cholesterol medication and my blood sugar slowly creeping higher were the determining factors for me. I've decided to put my self first, and indulge guilt-free! For those on the other side of surgery, thank you for being such an inspiration! Counting the days...
