November 2015 sleevers! :)
Mander1112 replied to Jennie7607's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I had my surgery November 19th and I seem to be bouncing back very quickly. The only thing I am struggling with is the liquid diet! I almost feel like there is no way I will get through these next 2 weeks until I can eat yogurt and cream soups. Did anyone else struggle with? Need some encouragement please "" -
Hi all, I've hit 89 pounds but am plateauing pretty bad. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't lost even an ounce. Any suggestions?? Anything I should be doing differently? Thanks!

That was a great read! Thanks so much!

Has anyone experiences hair loss? I'm 8 weeks out and so far so good, no loss. Should I expect hair loss in the future or...?
-
You're very right, thank you! It's just the thought of losing my hair is quite scary

I'm not sure how to get to that threat but it really takes that long for the hair loss to start? I'm really nervous about that!

So I'm 5 weeks post op as of tomorrow, Monday January 26th. Everything has gone so smoothly and I've been on solid foods for about 5 days and all has been wonderful. The first few days were brutal and the 3 weeks on a liquid diet was tough but worth it. I'm down 24 pounds and seem to be a little stuck there but I'm hoping with my increase in activity it won't last long! I would recommend this surgery to anyone struggling! If anyone has any questions as they enter their own journey, I'd love to answer them to the extent that I know and based on my personal experience! Good luck to all!

Thanks I will! Eating 2 oz of chicken right now, never thought that 2 oz of chicken would be enough for me!

thank you!

Hi, I'm Amanda. I'm 21 years old and am going to have surgery after Christmas, which is a scary scary thought. I'm a student majoring in Elementary Education and Moderate Disabilities. I work on a farm which is too fun for words and it forces me to be active. I have a wonderful, large family that are 100% supportive. I love to go out with my friends just like any other 21 year which is going to be a hard habit to break after surgery. I mean I just turned 21 and I'm a senior in college!! But I know this will be worth it in the long run. Just like some of you have stated, I'm a girly girl but definitely have a Tom boy side. I love sports, football in particular and I'm also a Disney freak (yes, frozen included) but my favorite is Peter Pan. I'm looking forward to having surgery but like I said, scared.
