    Easter's Challenge

197 today. 2 lbs to go. Hope I make it!
  2. I've never posted pictures on here before. My co workers found an old picture of me yesterday and wanted to take a picture to compare. We were all amazed at the results. It was very emotional for me. Down about 90 lbs in 6 months. Never been happier!

6 months post op with pics

Thanks everyone for the great feedback! I really appreciate it. Yesterday afternoon we were outside on a beautiful day and I was running with the kids in the yard. Aside from all the other reasons, that right there is why I did this!
  5. I feel amazing!!!!! Never better!

Thank you! Younger is good! You know, I've realized lately that I'm only 34 (35 in June) and I am still young and vibrant! I used to dress and feel old. I'm enjoying the cute clothes I can wear now. I love feeling like a young mom and wife that feels great every day! Thank you! Younger is good! Hernia?

I had a hernia repaired as well. I had a lot of pain the first week. It was much more than I expected. Worse than my c sections.
  9. Congrats. I hit ONEderland today too! Feels great!

    ONEderland!

I never thought it was going to happen but it did! I'm almost 6 months post op and today I hit 199. Haven't seen it in over 15 years. I'm down 87 lbs. as of today. This surgery was the best thing I could have done for myself. I have been frustrated lately because the loss has been slow. I've been continuing to do what I'm supposed to and I guess it's working. My goal is 160 so 39 more lbs!

    ONEderland!

Ha! That's the way to do it! I bet that's a big change from how you would have celebrated pre-op!!!! Huge change!!!! Lol

    calories

I would say 500-600 as well.
  14. I'm almost 6 months out and feel like I'm at a standstill! The most frustrating part is that I have NOT had any setbacks with eating! I've never cheated. Not one time and not one bite. I'm so frustrated!!!

    5 months out...

I'm in the same boat. Will be 6 months out on the 30th and I'm down about 86 lbs. however, the scale has not been moving much the past few weeks. It's frustrating. I still have 40 more lbs to hit my personal goal.
  17. I was wondering if anyone has taken a muscle relaxer medication after surgery. Any problems with that? I had them from before surgery so I haven't asked my surgeon yet. I'm having horrible back pain lately. Probably from being on my feet for 12 hours at work. There is no ibuprofen in them but I'm still worried. Any insight?
  18. 4 oz of purée is different than 4 oz of solids. I wouldn't go over 4 oz. but I think you are ok. I couldn't eat that much at that point but everyone is different. Are you uncomfortable after eating?

    Sugar free candy

So I need to go to the bathroom. Should I try one? Lol
  20. Mine are 11, 8, and 6. I was very honest with them and explained to them what was going on. I told my oldest one early on because I didn't want her to worry cause I was going to the dr a lot. I'm not one to go to doctors so I didn't want her to think I was sick. All my kids handled it well. They are very proud of me. The hardest part for them was watching me drink liquids for a month. They didn't like that I couldn't eat. My son kept trying to feed me. Lol. It's funny cause I love that my kids now read labels and talk about how much protein is in stuff. Lol

    Easter's Challenge

    202. Seems to be moving again but it's been frustrating lately. I figured this would happen when I got close to wonderland!
  22. You have to make yourself eat. Just eat a little something every few hours. It gets better.
