Well I've been wanting to post a #transformationtuesday for a while but just haven't done it.. But here it goes.. In the last 7 month I have transformed a lot. From a whopping 380lbs person to the 238.4lbs I weighted this morning.. It's been a long long road but dropping 142lbs has been well worth it.. Many people have asked me how I have done it and for a while I chose to keep it private but what's the use? Back on September 10th of 2014 I made the decision to enroll in a weight loss class at Kaiser just to view my options about how to control my weight. They were very helpful and I gained a lot of knowledge on what to eat and basic nutrition. But they also informed me of many different weight loss surgeries.. I wasn't really looking down that road but when I looked at what could be my potential health risk I started to weight my options. You see my family history and their health problem; with my dad having heart problems, diabetes and dying of a heart attack at the age of 50. I decided to make a drastic change I my life. I decided to have the gastric sleeve. It was not only for my benefit but for benefit of my soon to be wife to insure that I would be around for many many years to come. So on January 26, 2015 with my then fiancé, my mom and sister by my side (and a visit from Aunt Candice) I went in for surgery to have the Gastric Sleeve.. I do have to say that it is one of the best decisions I have ever made (up till that point the best decision I made happened on 05/16/2015. I feel amazing I am no longer border line diabetic and can run and move without loosing my breath. I am not worried that when and if my wife and I have children will I not be there for all those special moments in their lives.. Some people my shake their heads in disappointment saying I could have done it on my own and maybe I could have.. But the pros in my decision out weight the cons.. I love me and I am happy with myself and my body.. I'm not done yet still have about 40lbs to go till I'm at my goal weight.. But if anyone has any questions about my surgery and if I would do it again I would say YES a million time over.. And those of you who have 100+ to lose I highly recommend you look into it, not only for you but for your families sake.. It is not a easy way out. It is not a fix all solution, it is a tool and at times it is difficult but in the end it is so rewarding

I had kind of the same problem... I just had to take my proteins in small amounts.. Thought out the day.. Putting it in my soups and yogurts.. It's a struggle at first but remember to try every avenue

I did chips I had to chew something!!! I'm about a week and a half out.. ???? probably wasn't a good thing .. I haven't vomited or anything since 2days after my surgery.. I'm scared that my pouch isn't as small as it should.. But also happy because I haven't been in pain as of yet and I can tolerate almost everything I've been able to eat..

The first 2 days after my surgery i couldn't do anything.. But that third day I was moving and getting around fine a little sore not really pain per say. I had my surgery Wednesday and was at church Sunday and driving Monday.. But everyone is different my dr said I must be superman or something.. It gets better the only thing I'm dealing with at this point is wanting to eat food food.. Not puréed food or soups..

Wow it seems like it's taken forever for me to get to this point! My date of surgery is January 28, 2015 When I went in for my appointment I was really scared because my insurance is up on February 1 and then I'll be changing providers! So I explained to the dr my situation and he agreed that I should have the Sleeve asap! And well that was his next available appointment!! I'm so excited! Reason I'm having WLS is because my family has a history of health problems and at this point I do not have any of those and my family dr and I both agreed that this would be best for me in the long run! Plus I'm getting married in May so I want to look simi decent when I marry the most beautiful girl in the world!! Can not wait!! January 28,2015 can no come soon enough!! This is the a pic for the 1st of the year.. .

Well today I messed up! My mother and sister invited me to the mall to do a little shopping and well they wanted to go eat as well.. I should of walked to my car at that point but decided to go in and lo' and behold I ordered something.. I mean it's Lucille's BBQ! And I know I won't be able to ever eat it again so I went for it! And man did I ever pay for it after! The guilt set in and then I started to get sick! All this week and a half gone in vain!! But going to jump back on the wagon and drink my shakes! Hopefully it doesn't effect much! -
1/28 and very excited!!! One week to go then I'm starting a whole new life!! Honestly I'm so happy to have this opportunity!
