Neurologic issues?
dml32276 replied to Mogens Højgaard Larsen's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm only 15 days it off surgery but noticed already that I am very emotional and feel as though I am slipping into a depression and having panic attacks. I have had blood work done just 7 days out of surgery and will have it again in 15 more days from today to ensure that my vitamins and minerals are at correct levels. So far in my first blood work that came back my alt/spgp levels were high which is your liver enzyme. Which is a sign of liver failure or hepatitis neither of which I was having before the surgery. So telling me that and telling me to wait to the end of the month for more blood work to ensure its ok our messed up that is crazy. Did your doctor's keep an eye out for here minerals and vitamins monthly as here in Atlanta, GA? -
Thanks for the help. .. I'm am trying to stick to everything only hard part is the shakes cause of the milk if I could find a way that I could get the protein without adding the milk. That would be the greatest thing but I refuse to give up cause I am not wanting to be that day girl anymore

I'm just going through some pain in my cuts. Also I'm having problems eating and drinking the shakes. I can get the food down but the shakes are so hard to take cause I really hate milk. Any one got any ideas of how I can make sure I can get in protein without killing myself trying to drink all this milk.

Yeah before surgery you can. But the week before and after no. The week before they had me on ensure them after they will give you meal plans in which I'm having a hard time consuming what all they want me to consume in a day but haven't felt sick and ain't pushing it to much either hand my follow up tomorrow so well know that I am doing ok then but feel great. Been up walking allot seems to help and to sit up instead of lying down all the time -
The surgery part was great just know when you awake there is allot of pain that they don't tell you about so ask for meds as soon as you wake up

Good luck on your surgery.

My name is Diana and I'm in Atlanta just had the surgery last week and actually more scared now than before the surgery. It seems allot of us are having issues about eating and so forth. My hard thing is I hate milk and the protein shakes get harder every day to even try to get in any of them. But my main problem so far is I'm a week out and still have not had a bowel movement that worries me allot. Just allot of gas.

Surgery isn't that bad don't know if anyone warned you if the pain when you first woke up I wish they had me them I wouldn't have been so scared that something went wrong. But as soon as they gave me the pain meds it has not been to bad and I just had my surgery September 30th just having s real hard time with the protein shakes
