I was told to follow an Atkins type diet leading up to my pre-op diet to reduce the fatty liver. My question is......does fatty liver come from fat? or overconsumption of carbs and sugar?

Hi everyone, I am due for surgery in 2 1/2 weeks and was getting stuff ready and prepared here for when I get home. What are the best broths to have on hand for the clear Fluid stage? All I can think of is Campbells beef or chicken broth in the cardboard carton........there must be better than that?? Thanks

Hi all, I am scheduled for VSG Jan 12, 2015. I have been doing a lot of thinking......not always a good thing. Anyway here's the issue..... I have a story much like many of you.......struggled with weight loss and gain for most of my adult life, have been on every diet and program known to man. I am successful for a few weeks then fall off gain all my weight back plus more. I realize that the sleeve is not magic. I know I will need to follow the program.......I have never been successful at following the program. What makes me think it will be different this time? Can't be the cost because I probably have spent twice that in diet and exercise programs. Please share your thoughts with me on this subject.....I am really scared that I will not be successful..

I wear Asics because I tend to get plantar fasciitis and I find they have good arch support. Also the wide toe area works for me. They were recommended by a podiatrist.
