I am addicted to this site! Every morning and night I am lurking around meeting new bandsters and reading my life story almost on every thread. In this world today there is constantly someone reminding us of our differences. Whether it be color, socio-economic status etc. On this site I have found a true brother and sisterhood. I have met people that I would probably have never encountered in my lifetime. People from Australia,the UK and all around the United States. I am honored to be among such a wonderful calibre of people. People who agree to disagree and still give support to one another. If all of America and surrounding countries were like the people on this site what an even greater place this world would be. Thanks for being who you are and don't ever change. I am with Delarla on this one. I HATE the words chubby chasers! I had many a men want to be with me because of my size. I actually had a guy who was married to a beautiful petite woman actually stalk me on my job. He said that he loves big women. To each his own but to leave a marriage after 23 years because of her size...I ain't buying it! He is just going through some identity crisis like he is missing out on something. Some men think that there is this freak train of women(big and small) just waiting on them if they were not attached in someway. Lies! My father cheated on my mother when I was 2 years old and she was pregnant with my sister. My mother gave him the boot and divorced him when I was 3 and my sister was 3 months old. He has married 2 other times and married the 2 women he cheated on my mom with. In sucession of the adultery(lmao). He divorced the 2nd wife and has been married to the third for 20 years. In the 20 years they have been married he has only been faithful in the last 2. Now they are seperated but still date(lol). My mother has retired early at 51 years old(she is 56 now), owns her own house and looks great! Tell your friend what goes around comes around! To this day 33 years later he still asks my mom to take him back! LOL YOu never miss a good thing until it is gone. SHe will Survive!!!

I just ordered the magic bullet and it was shipped out on 9/15 so it should be here anyday now. I think it will be neat to have. I like dips and stuff and mixed drinks. My doctor said that I should give up Diet Pepsi and I did. I am NOT and I repeat NOT giving up MARGARITAS! That would just be downright cruel. Amy it is just like we are experiencing the same fears! I guess because we were banded at the same time. I take blood pressure medicine but he took me off of the diuretic and now I am just taking the pill for my pressure. I think everyone is expecting me to drop alot of weight like the gastic bypass people and we won't do that. I think that maybe in our own minds we think the weight is gonna just fall off automatically, but so far it ain't happenin'. I think in about a month or 2 we will see the progress. I think that I am gonna be one of those who works better with fills cause right now I can eat more than 4oz at a sitting. I have gained and lost the same 4 lbs since initially losing the 19lbs. My nutritionist says that is because I progressed to the mushie stage. I hope that when we get to eat our own choices the solid foods that we will see the difference. Hang in there bandsister. We can do it!

At nine years old she is wise beyond her years! Isn't it wonderful when they notice the weight loss and actually are proud. To give you a party was awesome. Unconditional love, that is what children offer! Ain't it just grand!!! Congratulations for you!

Jess, you are doing a great job! I have people now look at me everyday and ask how much have you lost. I have only been banded 3 weeks and I tell them 19lbs. I have maintained the 19lbs since the first week I lost them. LOL. I am 317lbs 2 lbs heavier than you and I can only walk for exercise. If I do aerobics my boobs will knock me silly! LOL There is no Bra that cant control my boobs especially since my tummy acts as their trampoline! LOL I hope I made you laugh cause when family says hurtful things well..they hurt the most. these are people who are supposed to love you. Your SIL is just being witchy. She is trying to downgrade your decision because she knows she screwed up in her decision to get RNY. Your sister is getting pregnant and she is morbidly obese. I think that she is doing it for attention but she does know that only in rare cases do women lose weight while pregnant. Toting around a baby when you are already obese ain't easy. Just continue with your journey, let the HATERS do all that HATIN' and you go on bout doing your thang! Work that band! DeeDee

In my opinion to each his own but grilfriend I don't think you need the band, that is just my opinion. If you are not happy and think you need it then that is a decision that only you can make!

VInes, when I was on prednisone for my lupus I gained 40lbs in two months! I could have eaten the broadside of a bear! ANY steroid(your inhaler) Is gonna make you retain weight. Not just prednisone. I also did some research and just like the atheletes who take the metabolic steroids regular prescribed steroids accentuate muscle building too. That is why you are shrinking in inches cause the fat is turning to muscle. In order to balance the 2 I think you need to probably work out more. When I gained the 40 lbs I joined a gym and went 4x a week I lost 20 lbs that month, but stopped working out(hard to do with lupus pain). It did help. Oh yeah I was on prednisone for 5 years took it everyday. You are doing FANTABULOUS considering the steroids. They are medically necessary but they sabotage any diet or weight loss plan. I am rooting for you if anyone can beat the steroid demon you can! HUgs from one Diva to another! Dee Dee

CUte Toes! I have a friend who gets solar nails they look great! My nails grow like wildfire so I just get them to put the acrylic over my natural nail.

Received my bill yesterday! That is how much my band cost with the hospital bill included! I work at the hospital so our insurance pays 90% of the entire bill. I am only out of pocket about $1,346. I can pay this on a payment plan through our hospital . they will automatically deduct it from each paycheck however much I want them to. I am so Happy! God looked out for me with this band and I think I was destined to get it. Just thought I would share!
