    Calcium

I prefer capsules or tablets because I can’t STAND the flavor of chewables. I also don’t like the way they make me feel. The fillers make me feel sick and make me sweat. I go with Vita4Life and I love them. I’ve never had an issue with them and have been taking them for years. It’s the best calcium on the market IMO. One container lasts 2 months. http://vita4life.net/products/bariatric-vitamins-calcium-malate-chelate-support.html

    B12 shots

It’s pretty normal to feel fatigued this soon out so I wouldn’t worry TOO much about it if you’re being compliant and taking your vitamins/eating properly etc. Shots can definitely help, but a sublingual B12 is definitely a good idea if you haven’t tried it yet. I like Vita4Life’s sublingual because it contains B complex Vitamins and it is made to dissolve slower than most sublingual B12 sublinguals on purpose. This is so the sublingual doesn’t just dissolve in our saliva in 3 seconds and get swallowed, then become non absorbable. The price is unbeatable too. Check them out sometime. Good luck and keep up the good work! http://vita4life.net/bariatric-vitamins-b-12-sublingual.html

What vitamins are u taking ?

I was taking gummies from Flintstones. They made me feel nauseous, and I was not sure for the cause. Later I found out that it contained fillers like Lactose, Sucrose, Flavonoids, Artificial Flavorings, and Red Dyes which caused my symptoms. As for chewable I used to take Centrum multivitamin products, like the Flavor Burst Chews, contain the allergen soy. Generally soy allergies cause mild reactions, including vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, sneezing, hives and red watery eyes. Apart from that some chewable tablet multivitamins from Centrum contain lactose which is a big problem if you are lactose intolerant. The same was with celebrate vitamins. I wasn’t very fond of liquids so I was stuck with the last option of capsules. After consulting my nut, he advised me to take vita4life bariatric vitamins and supplements. Being apprehensive I did my research and found that vita4life did not contain any fillers and mentioned the compounds clearly on the website. Its been two years that I have been taking these vitamins and they have helped me get good labs without any side-effects.

Need help with my Vitaminas please..:)

I wouldn’t advice on Bariatric Advantage Vitamins. They are a complete waste of money. They made me nauseous each time I took them. Worst of all the bottles did not have complete information on the ingredients. There was some info missing. I take Calcium in malate chelate 1200 mcg in a serving of 4 capsules, Multivitamins in multi-standard formula and 1 Vitamin b12 sublingual in the form of methylcobalamin with 1000mcg.I get all these vitamins from Vita4Life. As for Biotin supplement I would advise hair skin and nail vitamin from vita4life. They offer biotin and msm supplements that in combination work great for your hair skin and nails. I personally hate chewables. They make me barf each time and I hate the idea of chewing for over two minutes and then swallowing. As per weight gain, I have not noticed any after surgery. I guess it all depends on your diet.

    Vitamins after gastric sleeve

The first supplement you will likely take after bariatric sleeve surgery is a multivitamin. Bariatric multivitamins are available and typically contain vitamins A, D, and E. In the first six months after your bariatric surgery. You may need to take a calcium supplement that contains 1,000 to 1,500 mg of calcium. Look for calcium malate chelate, which is better absorbed after gastric sleeve surgery. Vitamin D is required to help you absorb calcium in your body. This vitamin is difficult to get in your daily diet and even more difficult following bariatric sleeve surgery. Take at least a 1,000 IU vitamin D supplement each day to ensure you get enough of this vitamin. During laparoscopic gastric bypass, the portion of the stomach responsible for making intrinsic factor is bypassed. The lack of intrinsic factor decreases the amount the body is able to absorb vitamin B-12 after gastric bypass and to a lesser extent after gastric sleeve surgery. As such, you should take a vitamin B-12 supplement that is either liquid or dissolves on the tongue. Take at least 500 micrograms of vitamin B-12 per day to ensure you get enough vitamin B-12 in your diet. Earlier I used to take chewables from centrum. It made me nauseous every time I took them. So I switched to Fintstones, but the gummy vitamins seemed to make no difference. I continued these bariatric multivitamins for a year and my labs returned no noticeable result. I decided to consult another nut, who advised me to change to vita4life. I did my bit of research before taking them just to be cautious. Having found nothing bad with them I decided to start with them and have been taking them for two years now. My labs have been perfect.
