Hi my name is Jackie. I just had my gastric sleeve surgery 9/25/14. Two of my close friends had this surgery last year and I've watched their progress and trials closely, so that is why I became interested in having the surgery. I've had a lot of questions since my surgery and started looking for answers on the web and I was so excited to find BariatricPal. It has been very tuff for me even pre op because I had to quit a lot to even prepare. (Like smoking, diet coke, fast food) of course those things were all bad for me to begin with but still very hard. Post op has been difficult for me for several reasons. My pain from surgery is much better now. I have had such a yucky aftertaste in my mouth it makes me nauseous. It's definitely been difficult getting my protein in and fluids. But my taste buds have really changed. I'm just anxious and ready to have more of a variety of foods. I know from my friends that This soon will pass and I can't wait. I am down 16 1/2 ponds in 10 days Post op. That's very motivating and exciting. I so glad I found this group. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the group.
