  1. I wanna play, but I'm starting 2 days late....is that ok? Current 245 goal 235
  2. I am 11 months out and I'm down 85 lbs...which I think is great! I have been in a stall for a couple of months but I'm ok with it. I think its giving my skin, which was looking really saggy, a chance to catch up. I look much better now...like my skin fits. It appears that the first 85 came off from the honey-moon phase after surgery and now I will have to work much harder...ok. Let's do this.
  3. Wanna know what the greatest feeling in the world is? Its being able to do anything you want and knowing your not to heavy to do it!! If I could have changed anything, I would have given that gift to myself much sooner. Best of luck on whatever you decide, but you will not regret being able to seize everything life has to offer!

    I'm I failing already!

I am 8 months out and I can tell you that you are doing GREAT! The problem in you expectations. I had the same problem, I just knew a month out I would be down 50 lbs...not gonna happen (unless you in the over 400 lb club, then you might). You have done tremendous! You keep it up and you will continue to do tremendous. Keep in mind that this is a marathon not a sprint. The rate you are going will help you body adjust much better...changes are happening...I bet you already have more energy and feel better....embrace that. Weight loss is happening, it will continue to happened for quite sometime. Enjoy the ride!

    I think I'm abnormal

Thank you again for all the advice and support. It may seem like a little thing to give that to someone but it has actually made a big impact on my perspective and I greatly appreciate it. I am working up a new game plan that beings with drinking more. When I feel hungry I am going to address it first with hydration of sort, if I am still hungry I am going to take a little walk (when I am in my office) and if I still feel hungry afterwards I will have a small appropriate snack. I think I will also bump up my workouts some for those days I may have a few more pistachos than I should : ) Thank you all again. I feel back-on-track!!

    I think I'm abnormal

I so appreciate all of the feedback you all are giving me, it makes me feel so much less abnormal. It seems there are a good number of commenters that would say "oh I have no appetite, I ate a crouton last Thursday and it will satisfy me for the next month" Ok, yes I'm exaggerating but you know what I mean! Thank you for the support I greatly appreciate the positive, understanding feedback. XO
  7. I am 8 months out and down 83 lbs which is all good but...I am hungry all the time, not just hungry but starved. I can sit around and pick at stuff all day. How abnormal is that for someone with the sleeve?
  8. I can only speak from my experience. My husband and I both had the surgery, but due to his health he had his 6-months before me. Even though I knew my date was coming, it was difficult to see weight dropping off of him, and his energy soar while I felt like a big disgusting slug. I was jealous, so jealous...which is a horrible way to feel about your spouse, but you feel how you feel. He would always tell me how much he loved me and how beautiful I am...that helped some, but what helped the most was having some significant success myself. Does you husband have any other qualifiers such as bad joints, diabetes or high blood pressure, some disorders can get you in as well. I have also knew those who just gained a few pounds to qualify (I don't recommend, but it works)

    Who Are You?

oooo my turn! I am Andrea, I am a 50-year old married (4 years) woman with a 20 year old son (Rah VMI!). I am a professional who has worked for Law Enforcement for the past 28-years...and looking forward to retiring in 5! I suffer from severe Ulcerative Colitis, about 25 years ago I was put on extremely high amounts of steroids for a long period of time, I gained 130 lbs. I have managed to lose 40 even 50 lbs at some points but was generally put back on steroids and gained it back plus more. I finally was given different drugs and was able to purse a surgical weight loss option. At this point, my journey continues....
  10. I bought some really good creamed soups like cream of tomato, potato leek, and broccoli. They had no chunks and were velvety. I would add a scoop (which is about 1 Tablespoon) of Genepro protein (it is unflavored and 1 little scoop has 30 grams of protein) It made things much better. I don't like sweet drinks so I always hated the protein shakes.
  11. These are great ideas...thank you! I will try making some diet modifications and shake up my workouts some and see what happens over the next couple of weeks. I have GOT to get over this hump!!!!!
  12. 6 month out and for the last month I have been losing and gaining the same 3 lbs. I am beside myself. Is this it? I this where I am going to stop? Is this normal?? HELP!!
