Aetna and weight gain during 3 month multi-disciplinary program
STARTING NEW replied to TN_Gal's topic in Insurance & Financing
Hello, In my experience it is net gain through the entire process.. I just had my last visit.. I had gained 5 pounds over 5 months and 1 week before my last visit I did a liquid Protein fast and lost 11 pounds so I was very relieved at my 6 month final visit. I would recommend you do a Protein liquid diet like the one to shrink your liver and I am sure you could loose your 8 pounds!! It was also a good way for me to know that i am ready for this whole process.. I did a shake for Breakfast for lunch i did broth and dropped a egg in it while boiling kinda like egg drop Soup and dinner another shake I ate all the sugar free Popsicle's i wanted and a bunch of Water and crystal light and I had sugar free Jello and 2 nights i had fat free yogurt just 1 cup that is what was on my liquid diet my nutritionist gave me . I had spoken to her prior to my final visit and she gave me a liquid diet to go by. She also advised me if i was still over by the 5 pounds I would not be able to move forward until i lost the weight. If you live near your nutritionist and don't have to travel far give them a call and ask if they could share there liquid diet with you.I have seen different liquid diets every nutritionist has there own they recommend i guess... Just be positive and stay focused you will do fine good luck!! Vicky -
That would make sense... thanks, I will try switching for my last few days..

@cfinch they are little cardboard bottles kinda like the ones we got in the school cafeteria back in the day but with a water bottle cap on it also try getting your insurance to pay for them not sure what ins you have but go to www.insurenutrition.com click where it says check eligibility and fill out the form if approved the will send vitamins also good luck
-
HELLO, I AM ON THE PRE OP DIET AND THE BEST ONE I HAVE TRIED IS PREMIERE Protein ITS BEST TO BUY IT AT SAM'S WHOLESALE YOU GET 18 FOR 18 DOLLARS AND SOME CHANGE SO IT COMES OUT TO A TINY BIT OVER A BUCK YOU CAN'T GO WRONG PLUS IT TASTE THE BEST BY FAR.FIND OUT FROM YOUR NUTRITIONIST OR DOC IF YOU CAN ADD sugar free FLAVORS AND DECAF coffee OR SUGAR FREE FAT FREE pudding IF SO THEN YOU CAN JUST POP THEM IN THE BLENDER AND MAKE ALL KINDS OF smoothies SO YOU DON'T GET TOO TIRED OF JUST DRINKING PROTEIN ALSO IF YOU CAN HAVE POPSICLES NESTLE MAKES SOME AWESOME SUGAR FREE FRUIT POPSICLES.. AND DRINK ALOT OF WATER/CRYSTAL LIGHT TO FLUSH YOUR BODY CLEAN.. GOOD LUCK!! BEST VICKY

From the beginning
STARTING NEW replied to hclement1984's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
MY INSURANCE REQUIRED 6 MONTH SUPERVISED NUTRITIONAL VISITS AND PRIMARY DOC VISITS SO I HAVE DONE IT TO WHERE I SEE BOTH ONCE A MONTH WHICH IS HOW THEY EXPECT ME TO DO IT AND ON THE 23RD OF THIS MONTH IS MY LAST VISIT.. THEN I WILL GO SEE MY SURGEON AND GOD WILLING EVERYTHING IS FINE HE WILL SUBMIT TO MY INSURANCE AND FROM WHAT I HEARD MY INSURANCE IS REALLY GOOD AND QUICK SO I AM LOOKING AT MARCH FOR SURGERY .. I STARTED SEPT 7TH WITH VISITS PRIOR TO THAT I WENT TO THE SEMINAR WHICH WAS ALSO A MUST. MY INSURANCE ONLY REQUIRES TO HAVE OVER 40 BMI TO QUALIFY. YOUR BEST PLACE TO START IS CALLING YOUR INSURANCE THEY WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WILL NEED BEFORE SUBMITTING TO YOUR INSURANCE OR IF YOU ARE PART OF A BARIATRIC PROGRAM THEN THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY HELPFUL!! GOOD LUCK AND STAY POSITIVE TIME WILL FLY BY SOOOOOO FAST!!! I FEEL LIKE I JUST STARTED AND I AM ALMOST AT THE FINISH LINE... -
