  1. I agree the weight falls of slowly but surely. I was sleeved 9/23 and down 34lbs. I have met my first goal to be at my Dad's weight of 160lbs by Christmas. I have not weighed less than my Dad in 10yrs. Sounds funny but true. My Dad's siblings are thin like my Grandma. I take after my Grandpa's & Mom's side of the family (little 2x4). It’s nice to be able to wear a size medium shirt and want to take photos again. But I do miss enjoying a good meal. My company holiday lunch was last week and I had to ask for a doggie bag & took home my whole lunch & ate it over the next two days. Happy holdiay's to everyone. My next goal is to weight the same as my Uncle.
  2. Has anyone tried Papaya Enzyme Chewable Tablets? I used to take them to help with digestion and was thinking of trying them now that I have been sleeved. American Health Super Papaya Enzyme Plus Chewable Description The "after meal" Supplement® Natural Digestive Enzyme Support Promotes Nutrient Absorption
  3. I was sleeved on 9/23 and was losing a pound every other day and now nothing. Glad to know others are in the same boat. I've only lost 20lbs. I'm going to try exercising longer or change up from the trendmill.
  4. No eating bad dreams, just bad ones in general. Like when i was pregnant 24yrs ago. I try to go back to sleep to just finish dreaming where I left off. If it's not the over-active dreams then I’m dealing with insomnia. I wish I didn't dream at all. But food is on my mind and unfortunately at work my office is across from the lunch room. It's a constant parade of people coming in for coffee, Breakfast, lunch or snacking all day. I'm not hungry but hear people munching on food I can't eat is kinda annoying. I just think about why I had surgery and the finish line.
  5. Right – I was sleeved 9/23 and getting all my liquids in is a challenge too. I've never been a big liquid drinker or breakfast person. I need to make a bigger effort for walk breaks, since I have a desk job and sit all day. I haven't lost any weight this week & seeing my family on the weekend. They are excepting some noticeable weight loss. Never thought my negative family could be so supportive. It's like the invasion of body snatchers & what have you done with my family? This weeks goal, Move more each day!

    Need some feedback

I was lucky only large incision hurt. I wore the band they gave me for 2 1/2 wks which really helped with pain & sleeping at night. I had my sleeve on 9/23. Still a little tender & wear lose band pants. Only tender if I bump my stomach on the counter or bending over. It gets better at day 5. ☺
  10. I hear you. I felt the same way last week (my surgery 9/23) but I spent the weekend with my family & my niece kept me busy & walked my dog around the park at my Mom's house. I think I just needed a change of scenery. I came home Sunday & noticed I had lost 2lbs. Moving to puree foods and going for (2) 10min walks at work have helped with the stall I had the first two weeks. Have faith in yourself you can do it.
  11. Hi everyone, I had surgery on 9/23. I too only chose to tell my immediate family (secrets not kept in our family too any women) & three people at work. I didn’t want to hear all the negative comments from my family and I work at a company of Archaeologist who are all very fit, active, healthy, thin & tall. To my surprise my family have been very supportive and call or text me several times a week to check on me and encourage me. This is a first for me, to have them be so supportive. The first 3 days I was like what have I done! I felt like I just cut off all my hair and I can't put it back. But by day 5, I started to feel good and was able to drink without pain and my day 6, I was able to get my 60g of protein from my two Premier shakes. I returned to work after a week and have not had any problems, I have a desk job. I now have insomnia & bad dreams but no fatigue or headaches or joint pain. Blood pressure down from 130/89 to 101/69. I think for me little pain & no fatigue from surgery is because of my high tolerance of pain and from always feeling tired for years from the Fibromyalgia. I drove to San Jose (1.25hr drive) after work Friday 10/3 to see my Mother for her Birthday and everyone was glad to see me. I think they thought I would look sick or have lost tons of weight in two weeks (lost 10lbs). They are very surprised to how healthy I look and no pain from surgery and little pain from my Fibromyalgia. Before surgery and one of my reasons for surgery was the amount of pain I was in daily. I was unable to exercise or walk long distances because of my constant joint, nerve and muscle pain and sleep was unbearable too. I look forward to keeping up with my 7yr & 4yr old niece & nephew and less pain this winter from the cold & rain.
