Well, you pretty much know what we are all going to say... Some of us are pretty rabidly against RNY. (trying to stay rational for a bit before I start frothing at the mouth) Do Malabsorbtion and Pregnancy mix? I would be very concerned that the baby wasn't getting everything it should if my insides had been re-arranged. There is only so much that a Vitamin supplement can do. By a Million years of Evolution, or by God's plan (you choose) your body is designed to produce healthy babies. I would be very concerned about tinkering with such an intricate and interconnected piece of biological machinery. The band is not so invasive - nor so permanent - as the RNY. I have such huge fear of the potential complications with RNY that I would NEVER advise anyone to have that procedure. Of course, you will have to make the final decision, and rabid as some of us may be, we will support you in whatever decision you make. I know that the RNY has worked for some people. I would just want you to think LONG and HARD before making a radical and permanent change to your body. (((hugs)))

Didn't sign on until late today. DH and I made a foray into the Home Depot today to pick up a few things. He needed more string for the weed eater and I needed a couple of other plants. Got a couple of Mums to put out front for color when the weather gets cold. We also got some things for weatherizing - since rumor has it that BOTH electric and gas rates will increase DRAMATICALLY right before the cold weather... I would hate to have to choose between the house payment and the gas bill... so we are working on conservation. Spent a lazy day after that enjoying some Quality Time with the DH and talking about all our little "to do" projects around the house. Tomorrow is planting day. Not much else going on. When I watch sports, it's basketball - but I tend to be one of those people who doesn't pay much attention until the playoffs... Go Mavs! Yes, Eileen, I am taking names (and I will be kicking @$$ if they don't start getting it together!) I'll check in tomorrow... Everybody sleep tight! :]

Now that's a song I can LIVE with having spinning thru my brain... Oh, and shockingly enough, I was given a DIFFERENT fax number to send my insurance appeal to when I called today. So, I had to fax it again. Still never got a call back from the person it was sent attention to. Again, in 24 point font, I requested a call to confirm receipt. *sigh* Monday is another day. Oh you guys!! I LOVE the Turtle Power and Turtle Spokes Model stuff. It's great. If I ever get my band, perhaps I will join your Turtle-riffic group. :]

Oh, ALL RIGHT - if I can still move my legs, I will dance... but I won't LIKE it. LOL A CRUISE SHIP with fireworks! Perfect. Lots of loud music in the middle of the ocean with no neighbors to complain. And there can be a jazz parade around the observation deck... :]

Gosh - I sort of figured somebody ELSE would get stuck with the details... OK. Cremation - and don't send anything worthwhile into the ovens with me. Give it to somebody who can use it (body parts, hair, clothes, jewelry - whatever) Maybe a stand up comedian? To make really tasteless jokes about dying that NO ONE can resist laughing about. Loud Rock and Roll music - with some dancing. Maybe some Floyd, Nirvana & Metallica? Any era from 1965 thru about 1995 works for me. (I won't specify a particular group or dance - Dang it Lisa - we'll ALL be too old to do the RiverDance - even for 30 seconds!) I want sort of an Irish Wake - except keeping the body around kind of creeps me out. Once I am no longer inhabiting the premises - burn it, Baby!! So, like, my picture (preferably one where I look stunningly beautiful) in the corner and all my friends drinking, dancing, laughing and telling stories about me for the whole day. Send my ashes to the fertilizer factory... I want to make flowers grow up pretty.

And be SURE that you specify MORBID obesity - and be sure that whoever you talk to feeds that into the computer. I got a different answer every time until my company's insurance rep gave us their specific file notation to look up. If they just enter "obesity" the answer will always be no. Nobody covers treatment for that. :]

OK then... Don't hold back. Scream and rant all you want. Look at the before & after pictures - that will help. AND - I spent about two full work days this week looking at the scientific studies on the band... Those studies show that, while the first 18-24 mos is important - Bandsters keep on losing, and losing and losing for a long time. Scream and kick, if you want. It will make you feel better. :]
